People like Walton are much sought after, they never stay in jobs long to avoid stagnating. he will turn up in another club or maybe he was missing out on the big bonuses in banking!!

I hope he does well wherever he ends up, I saw a few clips of him and it really instilled confidence in me about the club, he seemed so together and clear about his aims.

I'd like to know why the are both going. I remember the name Lesley Callaghan from the Roker Park days in the early ninties - so maybe its retirement on his part?

Isn't he a she spelt that way?

Didn't he say he wanted to leave a while back and was persuaded by SNQ to stay on? Seems like a very good bloke but as has been mentioned, I think we need a much harder edge and I expect to see a high profile businessman at the helm soon, to assist Niall with the business side of the club and leave the football side to the big fella. This should be seen as a hugely positive move and a sign that Short is really cementing his stamp on the club.

As for Leslie Callaghan? She was nothing more than a secretary at the club under Murray who 'inherited' the marketing and PR role (with absolutely no prior qualifications or indeed experience before taking on the job) and kind of just fell into a directors role due to her undying loyalty to BM.

I think the clubs PR and Marketing have been fairly ordinary at best and downright amateurish at worst and I welcome a new man at the helm.

Wonder where I apply? Lol
