I'm fairly sure that the win against Swansea has confirmed that we are now a settle side and with the exception of injuries I can't see our starting XI changing. (This will make RBF's prediction league easier). Ruddy didn't need to much yesterday, he saved everything he could of saved but had no chance against Graham's goal. No way he's going to be dropped. In defence Tierney didn't have much too do either and going forwards I felt he was ignored a bit by Pilkington despite making good runs, once Pilkington opted for a 30 yard shot rather than releasing Tierney out wide, but he's our player of the season so far. Leon Barnett and Russell Martin are going to be our first choice CBs for a while longer I feel. Barnett wasn't really tested either, although he did seem to be struggling to read a few of the lofted through balls for Danny Graham, one of which had Graham not failed to control could of seen a good shooting opportunity. Barnett also played an important role in our third. R Martin scored a goal of course, the defence abandoned him, but he still had to glance the header in. With Rusty playing at CB anyway, there aren't really any other options other than Naughton but he's playing well anyway. He and Rusty might of done a little more to stop Sinclair hooking the ball into Graham's path. Johnson had a pretty good game too, including a brave slide challenge that won the ball in our penalty area, but he still doesn't look to of found his shooting boots. Although he made the clever decision not to shoot despite being well place to set up Pilks late on. Fox's set pieces gave us our second and third goals, which is really Fox doing what Fox does best. Pilkington scored 2 goals, both from very close ranged, all his second required him to swivel before hand. As I said earlier, I felt he should of passed to Tierney a bit more, but can't fault a guy who scored twice. Hoolahan had a quiet game although he might of scored was it not for Williams' perfectly timed challenge. Bennett put in the cross for our first goal and as he done all season caused his left-back some problems, the Bennett/Naughton combo on the right seems to be the way forwards. If Bennett was a handful, Steve Morrison was many armfulls. Of course he was using his strength, but he also looked pretty fast and sharp, he beat the defence so many times and was always the first to get on the end of our longer passes. He didn't score but he set up our first, and is certainly going to be out first choice striker. Which leads me back to the title. It's fair enough to say that everyone did well yesterday, so there's not going to be any changes to our starting XI any time soon. I honestly cannot see bar injury how players like de Laet, Crofts, Surman, Holt and Jackson - very good players are going to have a chance to even make their case for a start the way the team has played. But I guess it all comes down to one thing - ILWT
