True, although it's a percentage. While we're doing well this season, we're not exactly free scoring from open play, so this is as much about us having limited options up front as being better at set pieces!
It's actually exciting to get a free-kick and/or corner nowadays as we have a decent chance of getting something from it. A couple of years ago it was inevitable that nothing would come of set pieces.
Hi Porky, welcome. Know what you mean. I can remember for years wondering why we all used to go bananas whenever we got a corner. The crowd cheered and I’d be stood\sat thinking why are we cheering, nothings going to happen. Now, I even cheer when we get a corner and think we might have a chance of scoring.
Porky Welcome to the forum Biffa. Watch out for Chippy, he'll bore you silly with his tales of how many cans of lager he can neck. He wears yellow chinos.
God I remember the heartbreak of corners mate, more likely to end up a goal for them than it was for us!
I know, it's a tragedy he only does 6. Some thing to do with it being in the family. Passed down from his forefathers And then his sixfather.
Except when he goes to the annual 'Twats in mustard chinos convention', where he blends in very nicely.
Well, yes, obviously you also blend in nicely alongside fat ****s as well, I was just trying to be polite for your benefit.
