Looks like we've uncovered a long throw specialist. Ryan Brunt took some yesterday and he's got a long strong throw with a low trajectory.....pity he can't be on the end of them too. I swear I also saw some of our players running to receive the ball when we had 'ordinary' throw-ins!! Although he can be a bit erratic Broghammer can whip in some dangerous corners. Lee Brown looks confident taking penalties, though I'm only comfortable if they are blasted into the net. We're not kicking the ball straight out from kick-offs; and free kicks and goal kicks are ok, though there's a bit of room for improvement there. Ye Gods...it actually looks as if our squad is being coached!!
Shame we haven't got Matty Harrold in the box for Brunt to aim at. Our set pieces are so much under JW then they were under previous managers. Poor old Campbell rarely got a corner past the first post.
i like hammers corners but we should be scoring from them as they are so dangerous and causes so many issues but no one gets on the end of them. we do need brunt at the other end of his throws so i guess parkes will go up as he would when we get a corner as brunts throws are like corners. mildenhalls rushed his kicking yesterday and a few times he made errors due to that. its good to try the quick kick to brunt now and then but he tried it yesterday nearly every time. we havent had that many pens this season.
It's remarkable what a bit of coaching and some organisation can do for a team. We are a case in point.
