Just read an article from an esteemed journalist highlighting and detailing aspects of SA`s "style" and his predeliction for set pieces and organisation...sometimes theres a moment like that when you look back and compare periods from the past.....when things were more simple I thought of The Fulwell End ....of people hanging off the wooden fence at the back and banging a two beat base with their fists on the wood to go along with the chant "Charlie ...Charlie!!"....just before the set piece started He always started his run from the same place...sometimes he came in with players hangin off him and still scored.... Happy people...... Of course games then lasted 90 minutes and each minute was a lot longer than now....mainly because the players weren`t playing the chess they are today... Nobody would have understood the words "set piece" then and if you were in the Fulwell end you`d have been given a sideways look if youd used the term People were just salavating cos we had a CORNER I just remember the crowd enjoying them more and being a bit more involved Keep it just as SIMPLE Sam ....theyll still love it....
