I have always stuck up for Sess, even when he doesnt play like Messi for 90 minutes every game.

But I cannot for the life of me understand why we are selling another of our best players and our only attacking midfielder and keeping Ji Dong Won other than reducing the wage bill.

Today was a glimpse of life without Sessegnon, 4-4-2 the dinosaur formation and over-run in midfield by a team that has a good chance of finishing bottom of the league, imagine playing 4-4-2 against Arsenal? Anyone for that matter as Palace ripped through and as said they are arguably the worst team in the league at present (No disrespect Palace).

Keeping Sess is a must, he gives us that option of changing formations but without him we now look like 4-4-2 is the only formation we can play, this wage bill crap does my head in, the lad took a pay cut to come to Sunderland and rightly so he earned a pay rise for scoring 9 goals and 8 assists.

Oh and get us a flaming Left-back please SAFC, even Jamie Redknapp pointed it out on SSN.

Still fully behind PDC though and so we should be, he couldnt have fielded much differently today and he has sacrificed a hell of a lot for SAFC and the work he puts in 24 hrs a day is respected by myself and the true SAFC fans, he needs time and I wish some posters on here would see that, we arent going from 4th bottom to world beaters in 3 months.

    Goodnight and FTM.

At last, someone can see the issues with 4-4-2

It sounds like it unfortunately, another one of our better players gone because we would rather Keep Ji because hes cheaper on the wage bill, risky strategy by the club and Ji has embarrassed PDC today after he publicly backed him yesterday.

haha well when you think about it, Mig, Rose & Sess almost gone, thats 3 of our 4 best players last season gone and I am yet to be convinced that the replacements are better, its scary when you think we finished 4th bottom with better players haha

Still got faith though that PDC can turn it around and get a player we need in the next 48 hrs.

Do people really believe this is Football Manager where players can just be kept against their will, dumped without a care or brought to Sunderland just because we want them?

    It's like a chimp's tea party on here ...........

That cross was as good as it gets in the PL but that head/knee/crouch he done was abismal but we seem to be happy about keeping him instead of getting just as much as Sessegnon for him, mental.

Smug, you are right, the highest level I played football at was Northern League, my knowledge of what footballers are available is negligible and my tactical knowledge remains with Half Backs and Inside Forwards, but I reckon I could pick a better team with the players that are available at the club now and to talk of a 4-2-4 formation is laughable.

Giaccherini, Ji, Wickham and Johnson across the front line is a joke, not one of them dropping back to help the back four, that was left to Larsson and Vaughan. I’m not their biggest fan but I have a bit of sympathy for what they are expected to do.

Some of Celustka's crosses today were class and that one especially was brilliant.

I like the look of him and think he's only gonna get better. We're missing something similar on the left

I did and it was a fantastic cross. Pretty much his only one though and the fact remains he isn't actually a lb. Celustka is a natural rb and it shows
