he has been top quality since he has been played out wide were he should be playing every week.

if we put some of the other lads in there proper possition we might start to do alright.

He was the best player on the pitch full stop.

Playing out wide he has been superb 2 weeks in a row. As soon as Graham went off and he was moved back into the centre forward role he was ****e again.

Note to Martin. Sess is a winger not a striker.

He's on a complete different level from the rest of the team sometimes . We've got Bruce to thank for getting him for 6m. I'm happier seeing him play on the wing, he must be a nightmare for opposing fullbacks!

When he gets the ball and runs at defenders/full backs from out wide he is one of the best in the league. As a 2nd striker he is one of the worst.

Its no coincidence that having been moved out wide for the last 2 games, he has been the MotM both times and scored 2 goals.

That's cause playing on the wing is where he's played all his life.
I hope MON realises now this is where he needs to be played !

Have to disagree up to a point.
Some of sess's best work today was when he was blasting through the middle, running at 3 or 4 players from the half way line. The only way they could stop him was to trip him or shove him off the ball.
And once again the ref only gave less than half the fouls that should have been given.
It's as if the refs are picking and choosing when to give the fouls, I just gave him a freekick I'm not giving him another straight away!
I do agree he shouldn't be played as a second striker as that clearly isn't his game, on the right with freedom to roam seems to me the way to go.

He is overrated. Yes he can beat anybody. He does the hardest thing but he can't do the simple things like pass or cross. He was also lazy today and often left Gardner exposed.

Actually he did leave Gardener exposed several times and Gardener actually had a right heated go at him at one point. However, this is what you have to accept with flair players that they are not going to work their bollocks off like McClean will.

That said, Sess has more talent in his left knacker than McClean will ever have in a lifetime. The question is what do you want?

I'll have AJ and Sess on the wings everytime.

it's strange how MoN and Bruce have not known his position playing him as 2nd striker and on the left as he played RW for PSG. Did Bruce ever play him on the right? He signed him, he should have known his best position better than anyone.

Have to say cest, as much as I agree McClean hasn't been great, he made a difference yesterday. Put 5 or 6 superb crosses into the box and also ran past a player!! I agree johnno and Sess on wings but McClean still has a part to play from what I saw yesterday

I have to agree when Mcclean came on he but some great crosses in the box.

I am perplexed at the situation with Connor Wickham. The game was crying out for him. Big, strong, quick. I can't see how Graham gets in ahead of him and I don't understand that we loan him and leave our selves with no attacking options on the bench???? MON has got this one completely wrong.

McClean has clearly been working on his crossing which is great, otherwise though he does lack the qualities of a good winger i.e pace, trickery, good ball control. Once he gets the ball by the byline however he's very dangerous. Also his work rate is great.

Oh and did I hear boos for him from the home crowd? Sounded that way, unbelievable...
