STEPHANE SESSEGNON says he is enjoying finally playing for a winning Sunderland side after enduring a tough first year on Wearside. The Benin international scored the third goal in the Black Catsâ 4-1 win at Wigan, which took their points haul to 13 in six games under new boss Martin OâNeill and lifted them up to 10th place in the table. Sessegnon arrived in England last January and 2011 turned out to be a miserable year for Sunderland under ex-boss Steve Bruce. But OâNeillâs arrival at the beginning of December has heralded a change in fortunes, with the Irishman winning four of his first six games in charge, and Sessegnon says that has done wonders for his confidence. âThe winning feeling is something different because at the start it was quite difficult,â he said. âFor the first few months, confidence was low in the team and we struggled to win many games. âI didnât think I had many chances to play to my maximum, which you want to do when youâre a new player. âItâs a lot more satisfying now to be getting some results and long may it continue. âThereâs a big difference over six games. âPeople were asking questions of us before the arrival of a new manager, but you can see the confidence difference in us now. âHeâs given us a lot of motivation and changed the mentality. Weâve worked hard and we knew there was a lot of quality in the side. âBut itâs not finished yet. You donât get anything for being in 10th spot at the midway point of the season. âWe need to be there at the end.â Read More http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...-in-sunderland-72703-30056843/?#ixzz1iUg7bR5H
