    We are having problems with a server upgrade,if you read through this lot,I hope all is explained..

    A lot of reading but hopefully explains the situation on the upgrade.....

    Mike is the owner,brb is the supermod....

    * Server Upgrade

    Hi,

    I am going to be trying to upgrade us to a new server over the next few nights. At the minute we are knocking back traffic almost every day with the 'site is too busy' message - I want to try fix this for the end of the transfer window by upgrading to a more powerful box.

    As a few of you who have been here before will understand, it can cause a couple of little teething issues - so thank you for your patience.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    * I'm going to take opportunity to upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin 4 which should fix some annoying little bugs, but the next major edition of vBulltin (5 http://www.vbulletin.com/vb5demo/) is still very slow and doesn't have all the features that we have here, so I'm waiting for them to improve that first before upgrading.

    * I upgraded the server last night. I need to do a few tuning bits, but most of it should be there. Let me know if there are any issues, the most common one when moving server is an inability to upload pictures to various places.

    * Hello Mick

    There is no displayed type face in Edit mode when you attempt to edit SOME Threads OP, appears regardless of date created. This does not include the subsequent posts.

    Also when mods delete posts via the delete spam function it is now removing them from profile - not ever noticed that before.

    What you done!

    Thanks
    brb

    * New...
    I caused that issue trying to fix it. It should be away now.

    Good news: I found out what's causing issues.

    Bad news: It's not something that's not very easy to fix - basically our new server (on php 5.4) is so new, that vbulletin doesn't fully support it yet...

    Hopefully all will soon be resolved.......wiz..
