Do they need to fill the stadium? At the moment, they're getting a free stadium, and selling a prime piece of land in East London, for what will probably be a fairly nice chunk of money. It's a good piece of business for West Ham, and I don't think a few thousand empty seats are going to trouble them too much.

To everyone commenting on West Ham's Olympic Stadium bid,
Just a few points. Firstly, can everyone please separate the true Irons from the bastards that currently own us, do not think that they speak for any of the fans that I've watched matches with since 1972 as they don't, so less of the 'they'. If you could see the **** they sent to all us season ticket holders when they won the bid, I've never seen such a pack of lies and media manipulation in my life. Secondly, West ham Utd have owned the Boleyn outright since we bought it off the Catholic Church in 1959 so when the land is sold for redevelopment, will the profit go to G&S as Club owners?. I truly believe this is why they bought the Club, not because they purport to be 'fans'. Thirdly, the Boleyn is consistently voted by visiting fans as a great place to watch football, ok the facilities are **** but I'd take them any day over a multi purpose stadia that is useless for football. I am truly worried about the future of my Club and all lovers of football should be. And a few thousand empty seats would trouble me greatly.

Seems a strange one to me Boleyn .. what a top club WHU are and stoke have no problems with you guys at all....
We now lock horns in 2 most important games in current history !!
I think you guys are playin top footie at the mo. and i hate to say this i think u will leave leave us behind saturday !
The prem really is so tight as the clubs that have come have not lay down nand died !
Causing congestion if thats the right word to use !
I just hope we can try and get something from sats game and then at home scrape throo ...
As for the Stadium ......... well i cant understand just how u guys are going to fill it which leads to poor atmosphere to say the least.. Stoke are in the same dilemma at the mo .. to fill all corners in ,... but can they sell it out .. cause increasingly away attendances are falling away !!
Football following is now a very expensive hobby !
Its getting taken away from us real people !
Good luck m8y but i do hope we conquer !!
