I go away for less than 48hrs and it seems the crap has once again hit the fan. WTF is going on?: http://www.thisisdevon.co.uk/story-13109129-detail/story.html It seems to me that both Kevin (why are ginger blokes always called Kevin??)Heaney and Brendan Guilfoyle have been leading us up the garden path all along (like we didn't know) and now relations between the two have broken down, well basically because Heaney won't cough up the cash! This once again leaves us well and truly in the dwang. I cannot believe that again the staff are being asked to defer wages - I am so bloody angry about this!!! This could also be the last weekend our beloved club is in existance. Once again I'm not going to be around for the meeting OR the match Saturday - not by choice I can assure you but well if I don't go I probably won't have a husband any longer.....hang on 'nough said! Can our club still be saved or is this the end of the line?
If Peter Ridsdale doesn't get a clean bill of health from his meeting with the Football League today..........then we're right up the kyber.........who else as got a pound to spare.......plus...........the experience.........and a bit of spare cash on the side. Seriously if Ridsdale is deemed not fit to run a football club............then he could well walk away..........and admit defeat.......but he did give it ago.
The judge states categorically that there is no obligation on BIL to pay the cash Guilfoyle is demanding. The way I read this is that it's down to the League to stop horsing around and reinstate Argyle's share. They've had far more than enough time to do the necessary investigation. That puts the ball firmly into BIL's court [mixed sporting metaphor] to complete the deal. The Ridsdale Factor? Well, I 'd have preferred him anywhere but at Home Park from the very start but it's too late now.
