I loved that amphitheatre! It was all set up for the opera when we were there. Can't get my head around the fact that it's nearly 2000 years old and it's still being used to entertain people. Did you find the old town new town section? It's one of the main shopping streets but they've left some of the old Roman street uncovered. I liked that. I sat and had a lovely lemon gelato there and contemplated the old and new.
The Arena was closed off in preparation for Zucchero tomorrow. We did go past all of the posh shops to get to the tower and saw Juliet's house. Her statue is getting a bit worn out with all of the gropers.
