Morning all. Off out this afternoon. I was given a gift voucher to do white water rafting on the Tees Barrage for my birthday. I have a fear of my head going under water and I'm absolutely terrified in case I fall in. If I'm not back on later, I didn't survive it
Morning everyone, Off to South Wales for work later today, so will listen to the football on 5 live on the drive down
I survived but I didn't like it! I was OK on the first gentle bit but then we went down a steep bit and the raft tipped and I fell out. I got sucked under the water and pulled a long way away from the raft. I had to swim against the current to get to the side where there was a ledge I could scramble onto until they got to me. I had to get back into the water to climb back into the raft but my legs were all jelly like and i couldn't get my breath. I had to get hauled into the raft by the instructor instead. Swallowed/breathed a load of manky Tees water while I was in there and got chilled even though I was in a wetsuit. Don't think I'll be doing white water rafting again
