A gentleman for whom I and the general footballing public have alot of time and respect for has spoke out against Sepp Blatter

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/04/sepp-blatter-fifa-diego-maradona

Diego might have had his faults but he is only human just like all of us and there is absolutely nothing sinister about the great man. Diego is a really nice man who only yearns for the best for the game

Can the same be said about Blatter and his cronies with their corporate idealism?

    Nothing sinister about Maradona?
A man known for cheating, using performance enhancing drugs, taking mountains of cocaine, refusing to do a DNA test for his own son, shooting at journalists with an air-rifle, tax-dodging and working for the Mafia?
He might be one of the few people in football to reach Blatter levels of dodginess.

Diego didnt cheat. He took a cough medicine and was undone by that. As for cocaine. Unfortunately Diego had an addiction to it but what I love about Diego is that despite his demons he battles very hard and is very sincere and honest in his campaign against drugs. The DNA bit about his son is a private matter which was eventually settled. Shooting of the air rifle was unfortunate incident but prior to the 1994 world cup Diego was constantly harassed and abused by journalists and Diego reacted and he was wrong but there was never ever any intent in seriously hurting the journalists. As for tax dodging....which famous person isnt at it? A for the mafia?

Diego might have his faults but what can never be in doubt is his passion and love for the game and he is a very genuinely nice fella.

As for working for the mafia?

Now let me compare this to Blatters lapdog puppet poodle ambassador - that disgusting overhyped charlatan who's lifestyle and misdemeanours i will point out later on and these are just the good points regarding this sordid character

    Watch this space!!

So apart from the multitude of ****ty things that he's done, he's really a great bloke? Ok, then...

I forgot to include the bit where he worked for Gaddafi. I'm sure that was entirely innocent, too.

  11. Didn't we go to war with Argentina? Technically, Maradona is the enemy and ought to be treated as a POW by us Brits.

This might sound a bit extreme to some, but in times of crisis we must be prepared to sacrifice a little bit of our moral sensibilities.

Yes...Diego has his faults but he genuinely is a very nice man. You're former star Glenn Hoddle is supposed to be a committed christian yet his wife divorced him because of his extra-martital affairs not to mention his "disgusting" remarks about handicapped children which led to him being sacked from the England job.

Nothing to do with blacks. Les Ferdinand seems a top bloke so does Paul Mcgrath and many of the great Brazilians like Romario, Jairzinho, Ronaldinho, Garrincha were black whom i really rate and respect. I have huge admiration for Romario...top top man

I despise both Beckenbauer and Pele as well as Platini who are utter charlatans and corporate prostitutes who have sold the game and destroyed it.

Platini was a great player i'll give him that (Bryan Robson was better) but Beckenbauer and Platini are the two most over-rated charlatans ever in the history of the game.

To be honest with you im not bothered about their playing style and reputation as players. Thats just anyones opinion really.

What I am interested is the way they have strutted around the planet ambassadors ( lapdog puppet poodles) of Blatter and the corporate mafias. Their already over inflated ego's massaged and inflated more by the media.

I wonder what did occur to the missing UNICEF money which Pele blamed Helio Viana and a Brazilian judge ordered Pele to pay libel damages to Mr Viana?

    Theres alot more.

"Disgusting"? Do you think that they're disgusting or not?
Glenn Hoddle believes in karma and reincarnation. I don't, but he's allowed to hold those beliefs and they shouldn't affect his job prospects.
Is anyone going to claim that a Buddhist, Sikh or Hindu shouldn't be able to manage the England team? Sounds quite bigoted.

As for Hoddle being a Christian and having affairs, Maradona has two children from affairs and is a supposedly devoted Catholic.
He's also knocked up his ex behind the back of his current missus and faces numerous paternity suits.

Hoddle's far from perfect, but the comparison is absolutely ludicrous.
When he starts hanging around with dictators and criminal organisations, then you might have something.
I'll be generous to him and not count Chelsea. <whistle>

Give it up PnP - you're arguing with someone who thinks Bryan Robson was better than Michel Platini <rofl>

Jimmy Saville was a devoted catholic too. Maradona has his demons but overall he is a very nice man. Hoddle had an extra-marital affair like in my opinion most football men do but using Maradonas demons such as his battle against cocaine addiction against him is pretty poor especially when Diego constantly battles against his demons. Diego has to be admired.

What Hoddle did was much more disgusting and pathetic when he mentioned that disabled people were only themselves to blame for the state they were in. Excusing it as Hoddles religious belief is like excusing female genital mutilation or ISIS as religious beliefs.

Paul Gascoigne is often said to be one of the nicest ever man in football despite his troubled past with his turbulent relationship with Sheryl and his abuse of alcohol and cocaine. Paul is often said by people that are close to him that he would give away his last pennies to help people. Paul has a good heart and so does Diego.

As for hanging around dictators and criminal organisations...what about that corporate charlatans Beckenbauer and Pele doing and have done during most of their pathetic lives
