Yes DM lost the plot in terms of team selection etc, however all the players need a long hard look at themselves.

If I was DM I would feel let down by some of the senior players at the club such as Louis Carey and Skuse, these 2 have been at the club almost all their lives and should surely have been able to motivate the other players with their passion and commitment to the club, when it was obvious DM could not.

Or is it that these 2 are part of the problem and should be allowed to leave, when Millen left a shake up of the back room staff was made as it was felt some had become to friendly and comfortable in their positions at the club, I think we need to look at the players now, the 2 mentioned above along with Fonts (club captain I might add) have been here through the last 3 managers that have been sacked and each time most of us on here have said how the players have let the manager down!

Perhaps it is now time to pay up some players contracts to get them out instead of paying up managers contracts every 40 or so games?

Time for a new broom as well as a new manager as a major shift of players is required otherwise no manager will succeed here, if that means relegation this season to allow us to come back stronger next season then so be it, one thing is for sure this cycle of ploughing through managers is not helping and costing too much money.

Spot on supcon! The rot set in may years ago and we have not hired any manager since GJ left who could turn our fortunes around. If we had found the right man, no matter what his salary, we would not be in this mess but we always went for the lower option.

    Speculate to accumulate.

I am certain that our current plight is totally the responsibility of some senior players.
Watching the very brief bit of yesterdays game on Football League show, Fontaines defending was not good enough for an under 7's team and I actually thought Gerken was a reasonable goalkeeper until I saw his performance. His ability looked about as good as the goalie on one of those table football games where you spin the bar to operate!

McInnes's biggest mistake was in continuing to select the dross, believing like many in football that playing youngsters means "you dont win anything with kids - Alan Hansen".
Well all the City kids who have played this season, Joe Bryan, Bobbie Reid and now Wes Burns have played without fear and outperformed their elders. If Heaton needed a rest yeaterday or was injured, the Lewis Carey should have played.
