I totally agree - he left it open to that. But they didn’t score. In hindsight the risk worked out. Imagine if we’d have continued to play attacking football after we scored and ended up losing and going down? We’d have had people asking why he didn’t play for a draw as that is all he needed. It’s assessing the risk - and it’s not sexy. But it got the job done. I can totally understand why Selles prioritised not conceding (when he’d created the 4th best defence in the league under his watch) over scoring again (when we had the worst attack) and we knew by that point we probably wouldn’t need to win.
49 points and the best defence from 10 downwards is not lucky. Selles played the circumstances we found ourselves in. You can see that because when he knew we really needed to turn it on or risk falling out of it (2nd half v Preston and 1st 30 v Portsmouth) we were a very different team.

Boss Man appears to have left Istanbul (not Constantinople) in his plane therefore white smoke must be imminent
He’ll have signed for another club before we get round to officially announcing it. What a weird day it’s been.
Left Istanbul a few of hours ago.....would he leave if decisions had not been made (sorry.....he had decided and not told the others)
I don't suppose there's a chance that he might be waiting until he's recruited another guinea pig before he's euthanised the previous one? Or put simply... Is he about to pull another rabbit out of the hat at the same time as the other one disappears? (Ric,petsathome,Cumbernauld)
