But that fixation on the defence wasn't apparent immediately. When he first came and working with pretty much what we finished with, we looked a far more positive side, so much so that some on here were placing bets on top 12 and top 6... `then all of a sudden it changed and we became this drab, lucky to fashion a chance let alone score one side. Thats what cooked his goose.
Would think any other job won't have been paid as well as Chelsea, so he can sit on his hands and not take a job, or he can take a lower paid job and ask them to stump up the difference.
It is possible to come to a nuanced viewpoint. It's possible to criticise his footballing decisions whilst acknowledging that he has provided much needed investment and done some very good thinks in re-engaging fans and raising revenue streams. Trouble is his footballing decisions are undermining the good stuff, and there's no real indication that he's learning from experience.
Kal...... go and take a beta blocker or something. You'll make yourself ill... Good news for you, our club is still in the Championship and the new season is around the corner... when you signed up for Hull City, like all of us, you were told to expect the unexpected, enjoy the highs and lows its all part off being a City supporter... no amount of slagging the owner off is going to get you anywhere.
Bollocks. He’s said himself he’d rather be entertained losing 4-3 than winning 1-0. He’s too hands on for a guy with no football experience. He’s playing with us like we are his toy. Can add you to the list of people on Acun’s payroll to spout absolute bollocks
I'm halfway through knitting an 'ACUN OUT' scarf and you've caused me to drop a stitch... What wood, what trees? (Knit one,Purl one,Glasgow)
Formal announcement not made yet because:- Selles has turned his phone off and no one knows where he is to let him know Delegation of players have given Acun an ultimatum "if he goes we go" Acuns pilot is on annual leave Its revenge, to keep Baz up half the night. It was all a set up to find out who the "mole" is in the City camp.
With 49 points and the GD we had we’d have been relegated in only 2 of the last 10 seasons We weren’t lucky to survive, but we did do just enough. We can’t keep analysing just the last 8 games and keep claiming we were ‘lucky’ to stay up. We weren’t, we put work in to make sure we did proir and created that breathing room for ourselves. I suspect if Selles knew we needed to beat Portsmouth we may have done - as it was he managed the game and got us over the line by reducing the risk as much as possible that we would lose.
We were lucky. The margin by which we stayed up was incredibly small. It's a good job Portsmouth, bar a couple of their players, weren't really that fussed about making a real game of it in those last 30 minutes. Had they had anything serious to play for, it would likely have been a very different case.
