Other than the fact the table since Selles got the job has us exactly midtable with a top 6 defensive record.
Battling relegation and 2 wins in the last 9 games. Even Plymouth upped their game after Rooney. Comparing our transfer window spend to our relegation rivals and that they all managed to show more fighting spirit than we did, I can see why Acun is dissapointed. We showed what was possible against Leeds, Sheff utd and Sunderland but it would have been far better to beat, Derby, Luton and Plymouth. Yes stability going into the next season would be a good thing but only TWT if changing managers again (if it happens) turns out for the better or worse. Always remember worse things happen at sea.
We also looked like we would be relegated for much of Selles custody. Read back match day threads where we got beat, people slating his selections, subs and tactics. We got lucky on the last day because Luton can't defend. Simple as that. Would you trust the guy with millions to spend this summer? He didn't seem to know his best team after months of having the players. He fell over the line thanks to other competitors. Hardly the saviour some made him out to be. Blame injuries all you want but Tim had the same issue with Millar, Belloumi etc and nobody seemed to cut him any slack. He had 20 odd fit players that were good enough to win against Wednesday and Preston so I don't accept the excuses. He had us playing dull football, playing for draws and not even managing that sometimes. It was obvious what was going to happen.
No need to cry about it. You tell the likes of MO and HT2 that they are posting sh1te while doing the same yourself!
That Plymouth who got relegated and shipped significantly more goals than us? We conceded few goals under Sellés and stayed up on goal difference. That’s something to build on.
Didn't you say in a post to someone when you was both having a spat that there was no need for insults .
When Acun first came he said the only reason he'd sell the Club is if the fans turned on him. Lets see if they do and he does.
You mean the day we stayed up when I said we should be celebrating not having **** fights? Amazing comprehension skills from you.
I probably would have preferred some stability, but at the end of the day, we stayed up by the skin of our teeth, on goal difference, and were beaten by all our relegation rivals when it mattered most. The football was also awful to watch.
All? We beat Plymouth and Oxford. Lost to Luton on the freakiest of freak goals. Yeah I hated watching us beat Sheff Utd. Let's not make **** up.
He might but he also said every manager had 3 years as this was a project, but then again it might not have been his decision to sack selles if for any reason he was leaving.
We lost to Cardiff, Derby, Luton, Stoke. But my point was when it mattered most meaning the games against Luton and Derby.
