Our better players moved up to a higher quality of football and therefore didn’t stand out as much as they did in the championship. What’s your point? They are still good enough to be in the Premier League even if they are squad players. So should have done much better when they were with us in the championship. “Handbrake” Rosenior should have done better with the players he had at his disposal. But he’s gone. So is his replacement. And the jury’s still out on the replacements replacement.
My point is most of them have been ****. What higher level is Morton playing? Tufan? Philogene barely done anything, greaves struggling, carvalho barely sighted. Higher level or not those players had career best seasons last year. Pick your lane. Either we should have done better last year as we had PL quality players or them being **** this year is expected as they aren't ready for the PL yet. Can't be both. We did very well last year. This constant talking down of a seventh place finish just because it didn't end with a failed play off campaign is churlish.
Great. He'll bring in another "attacking" madman and we'll be bottom at Christmas. Will be replaced by a more sensible option who will keep us up and then be sacked in the summer...and repeat
Is this part of the Turkish mentality though? Strong-willed, single minded and a bit hot headed. You have to wonder what his advisors and brain team tell him. Does he listen to them though?
