I wonder if one reason for Selles possibly getting the heave ho is that he’s relatively popular and has a good relationship with the fans. Ditto Rosenior. Perhaps Acun doesn’t like that as his own popularity comes into question?

 

with Rosenior he was popular with the fans mainly because he was an ex-City player and he had a pleasant personality.
Selles doesnt give much away but I think he's popular with the fans because they think he's a good manager.

 

Rosenior was also likely popular because he too was a good manager

 

the defence passing the ball about in their own half until our opponents got set up defensively didnt endear him to a lot of supporters.

 

Better passing it between our own defenders than passing it straight to the opposition defenders like a Selles team does
