Surely we have to stick with him and give him a chance with his own squad? Comments already online saying we should sack him and start again. Madness imho. When you don’t have unlimited funds stability should be highly valued.
This season's been a minor disaster (one Portsmouth goal away from being a major disaster). I said when he sacked Rosenior that the new manager needs to better seventh or he'll be sacked. Selles was brought in to do a different job; make sure we weren't relegated. He's done that - just. He's made hard work of it but he's done it. Why would you sack him? He's done what he was asked to do.
Well not saying he should be sacked but I have not been impressed with him despite having high hopes. The football from his teams at times has been dreadful. He said after managing Southampton and then going on to manage Reading in League 1 that he had to adjust his style to cope with the long ball boot out from the goalkeeper that was more prevalent in the division compared to the Premier league-think he forgot to change it back again.
Stick with him. He had to be pragmatic when he came in, though I think he played too safe in the last 6 games. Was given a blunt set of tools by his employer to do his job and suffered some major misfortune with 3 signings in his early days getting season ending injuries. Let him show us what he can do with a clean slate - if no meaningful progress then change him. It's very far from his fault we ended where we ended, though he has some culpability for the very end
Theres very strong rumours farke will be gone from leeds He's the only manager id swap selles for Its only hull city where the managers allegedly at risk of being sacked 3 hours after our game
I think he should probably stay, but do we really think when he was brought in with half a season to go , his only remit was 21st . In Acun world, was probably stabilise then push up table towards halfway , and to be fair when you see what others have done in half a season it’s not impossible . I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go .
To be fair, he sacked Rosie for his principles of wanting to watch attacking football and we’ve served up this season , he would almost look more foolish keeping him
