Unless I've missed some glaringly obvious option we're now two yellow cards in the next two games away from having to play this team against Middlesbough. (Rosenior and McKenna on 9 bookings, Dudgeon joining Koren in being injured) Mannone Evans, Chester, Hobbs, Dawson Olofinjana, Cairney King, Brady, Stewart Fryatt Subs: Gulacsi, Cooper, McLean, Simpson, Cullen With Garcia kicking his heels somewhere. You could maybe change McLean for someone in the front 4, but that's not really my concern with that team considering even the starting players have lost the ability to defend.
Drop Rosey til then, he's well of form at present and hopefully it'll do him good and hell come back better against boro. I'm sure Evans can handle cov and scumwalls threat on the wings til then and it gives us chance to add some much needed creativity into the side with Koren missing, I'd say Cairney get him some game time and help him develop.
You see I'm not convinced he can play right back (I've only got him there because with no other option he's better than Olofinjana or Cairney would be). We heard when we signed him that he could, but at international level he plays on the wing and we'd already played Dudgeon at right back ahead of him when Rosenior got injured earlier in the season. Then tonight when Dudgeon went off Humberside side Rosenior went to left back and it was McKenna that went to the right and not Evans.
the selection problem goes deeper then a few yellow cards, hardly anybody deserves picking at the moment
I thought he was poor against Southampton and heard there wasn't much improvement against Leicester. Trouble is, have we got a capable replacement?
Parnaby was lined up but then we decided not to. Given the chronic lack of depth in the squad and Rosenior's impending suspension I can only assume he was asking for too much money or we wanted him to sign til June and then discuss the future and he wanted at least til next summer. Even if he didn't impress in the reserves, had he been on a cheap wage til the summer he must still have been a better option than not signing him.
Played well against Leicester, can't really see where he put a foot wrong..... Got forward well to was the only one looking to run with it.
