Looks like the squad could have a disrupted start with regard selection. It's tight having a cup game Tuesday and a league game Friday. It makes it worse having internationals on Wednesday. With a midweek league game next week as well, it's going to be a busy start to the season AGAIN! Hopefully we have enough depth this year for it not to be an issue.
While Kim waits for a work permit, a number of other Cardiff City players are away on international duty this week and will miss the first competitive match of the season, against Northampton Town away in the League Cup tomorrow.
Craig Bellamy, Darcy Blake and Robert Earnshaw are in the Wales squad, while goalkeeper David Marshall and Don Cowie have been called up by Scotland. Aron Gunnarsson (Iceland), Filip Kiss (Slovakia) and Etien Velikonja (Slovenia) are also on international duty.
All of them could be playing on Wednesday evening, but will rejoin the City squad in time for their opening Championship clash with Huddersfield Town.
