This good to see. The more people who get involved, especially from other clubs, can only be better for the cause.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/2318203.stm Ten years ago but those piggies don't change their spots. Violent corrupt arseholes.
Under common law we have a right to assemble, the Gloucestershire Police Force wrongfully stopped coaches containing Anti War protesters form attending a protest. They had no legal right to board the coaches and then make them turn around and go back to where they came from. Southampton and Portsmouth supporters had a simular situation, when supporters where bused to the matches and all other movement was restricted. They had had pitched street battles the last time that they had met. The scale of violence was huge in comparison and there is no real historic rivallry. The actions of both Police forces is inflametory and I have no doubt that now there will be trouble in Huddersfield and the Police should realise it. The fact that pubs in the area will need policing as well as the ground, will make for an explosive atmosphere and young thugs will be out in force looking for opportunities to make a name for themselves. Sheffield, Barnsley, Leeds (how many will travel to Ipswich?), Huddersfield and Hull all in the same area at the same time. In some respects the Police are right to be worried, but instead of easing the problem they have made it worse. I believe that the Police have only two choices now. Move the fixure to Southampton, I mean move the Sheffield Barnsley fixture to Sunday and let the clubs sort out the ticketing.
