Last time you were down at the CCS, seemed like we'd just gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson with our Carling Cup final against Liverpool the previous Sunday. You got the 3 points to be fair, and that was all that mattered in the end, but we crashed the woodwork twice in that game and it could have been oh so different. How about this time guys? Do you fancy the trip and go for it first leg, or park the bus and sort us out at your place? BTW, what was the result last time we were up there? Looking forward to it fellas.
At our place you did the ultimate smash and grab, at yours we dominated and deserved the win. This time round, we are on form and i expect us to go through over 2 legs, but who knows what will happen. I gave up predicting long time ago,but looking forward to it.
First game of the season was indeed a smash and grab, and I agree you deserved the three points at our place in the return, but a a point apiece was only a goalpost width away that day. Playoffs are very different. The two leg scenario of the semis are probably the most tactical games of the season for those who get there - we know, we've been there so often. I fully expect Holloway (I've always liked him) to get his boys past Brum over the two legs, and the other finalist will come down to which manager can "manage" his charges the better for the occasions. You'd think and expect Big Sam to have the experience to pull this off, but Malky Mackay has got something special in his make up that can turn a game.. Like I said, bring it on and enjoy.
Hello lads, thank god we got 2nd place yesterday. The 4 teams in the play off look immence, may the best team win. (my money is on Brum).
I look at the Hammers squad and then at ours, and think OMG. Then, to add to my ever increasing doom and gloom, I'm old enough to remember our last two legged league cup semi against WHU....I think the aggregate was something like 10-1 to the Hammers. But, I also thought that Liverpool would stuff us at Wembley! When there's so much at stake, I guess anything can happen. I just hope we do ourselves proud. Safe journey to all you travelling Hammers.
The play-offs look very tasty! I'm just glad I can sit back, have a beer, and enoy them without s***ing myself! My head says Brum, my heart says Cardiff, my friend says West Ham, and my gut says Blackpool!
First of all, congratulations on a fantastic season. I hope you go on and enjoy many seasons in the top flight. Secondly, well done for living in one of the best areas in Britain. As for the play-offs, I'd love to see us Bluebirds make it at last, but I think it's going to be between West Ham and Blackpool at Wembley.
We are pretty happy with out form as well. Unbeaten in 10 games, won 4 of our last 6. Have beaten Reading, Southampton, And West Ham over the season, and perform well in big games, ask Liverpool. Feel we will take this one over two legs. Could luck to you guys though, and I hope there are no controversies along the way!
This really is a tumble weed forum. looks as if all the Ammers are on KUMB.Com plenty of Chirpy Cockney characters on there !
I know what you mean, I'm really only on not606 for the F1 (very few Hamelots here), I'd post more, but there's not much to say, SSDW in general. if you want hammers to post to try WHU606. As to the play-offs, Blackpool are the team I see as the biggest danger, Birmingham and Cardiff have both had long seasons and I feel they've shot their bolts already in various cup competitions. I think we should've done enough this season and we've only got ourselves to blame if we don't go up. I hope it's us, I think we're stronger now than at any time this season as our forward line seems to have clicked now that Vaz Te is in the side, he's got that little bit of flair we've been missing for oh so long.
