I suspect it's another example of the Police frantically finding a "suitable" law around which to fit a crime. I haven't read the law but would not be surprised if there's a few little caveats in there which allow them to prosecute for this sort of thing. Then again, he might have made reference to the make up of Bradford's community. Who knows. It's mental to jail people for singing or tweeting stuff like that though - the prisons are full enough as it is. Make them do community service and actually achieve something worthwhile. Either that, or in cases like this, stick them in a pub with the families of the victims for 10 minutes. They won't do it again.
