So sick of the Olympics build up. Most people I speak to down hear aren't excited but dreading it. Transport is going to be a fecking nightmare.
I love the Olympics, but have a feeling of dread regarding the security shambles our present government has resided over..
I'm really looking forward to the Olympics, don't think I would if I lived dahn sath though. We've got an impossibly hard act to follow in China BUT I think we can potentially host the greatest ever PARALYMPICS. GB's football team adds an extra spice to things but the track and field is still the focus. Excuse me while I orgasm at the thought of beating USA in the medals table.
A little ot here, but here is ome of my mates, lost his leg and nowcopmpetes in several sports, and trains people.. won't post his name or owt..
I'm not sure, I think the paralympics is usually an undervalued part of the scheduling and is 'humoured' by some hosts. Britain is arguably the most socially progressive country in the world and we have a great team of athletes too, as an event I feel it could set a new benchmark for the standard expected for the Paralympics.
**** political correctness, wheelchair rugby is one of my favourite sports across both events, it's BRUTAL!
Meanwhile in Benwell, to see a helicopter land in your street all you have to do start the usual summer riot and wait for the police to arrive. x
