Short update on stadium matters The Chairman has been informed that the section 106 on the Sainsbury's development of the Memorial Stadium is in the process of being signed off. The Chairman expects the document to land with him imminently, and it will then be signed by all parties.
Well at least it would appear that all is in the process of completion. The council determines the value of the 106 as to how much they will prise out of the vendor as provision towards things to do with the community eg. video strips over bus stops, improved community projects for libraries and schools, local road improvement etc. If I remember correctly, the vendor only signs off the 106 when the money changes hands between purchaser and vendor at the completion of the transaction. Done deal!!
