I don't know why, maybe the pain of last season has left my body almost, but I am feeling quite good about the next season ! This is normal for me. The only reason I was so p!ssed last season was our dreadful transfer business that left a sour taste and made me Mr Angry - before the season had even started. I actually feel optimistic even if RVP leaves. Call me a sucker, maybe I am but, I am always excited about the prospect of "the coming season"
For the record I was only angry last season because Wenger/the club made me angry - up until last season I was a staunch Wenger fan and would defend him totally. The shambles that was our pre season gave me the right bollock ache ! That was my first EVER season of disillusion with the club. I enter this season with an open mind and I am willing to forgive the debacle of last season
I'm only willing to forgive the debacle of last summer if lessons have been learned and the mistakes are not repeated. This means no penny pinching that leads to us settling for second best, no long running and ultimately damaging transfer saga and no waiting until transfer deadline day to do our business. If we do things right for once, I'll be a very happy bunny!!
I've noticed a large upturn in my mood over the last few days but I'm putting that down to the hot weather causing women to wear less rather than football. Big up to the sunshine..
I'll be excited if we keep RVP and sign two more players (M'Vila and Vertonghen). We only need to splash about 30 mil to get those two, and we can get more than half of that from player sales!
Yeah - Respect to the girl at Kings Cross station yesterday afternoon in the hot pants !! Every man was twisting their neck, I tried to style it out but it was pointless.
Hubba hubba hubba ... I can only imagine !! Got decent beaches down there too - if it wasn't 4 hours from London I'd be on it like Sonic
Me too. I hope Wenger still goes after M'vila and is'nt put off by the pricetag. Vertonghen will sign for Spurs though. Matt Hummels or Neven Subotic would do me just fine. The prospect of having both Podolski and Van Persie is quite exciting. Could be a brutal forward line.
Add all the faffing and waiting around at airports - add another hour and a bit onto that. Still, better than 4 hours driving and probably cheaper than the train too - with a guaranteed seat ! I can't surf though so I'll be at the bars waiting, I tried for the first time in March in Polzeath and fought the waves for 2 hours solid and got my ass whooped. Half the battle was trying to get into deeper water, by the time you regain your senses after getting pummelled by one wave you get pummelled by the next one !! My cousin got cramp and had to get hauled out of the sea by a group of us ... black people are not made for surfing
