Change your manager - the teams that changed look like they're staying up - Palace, West Brom, Villa, Sunderland and possibly QPR - the three that didn't look like they're going down - Leicester, Burnley and us - Everton didn't change but I don't think anyone ever thought they were part of the relegation race
But last year it was the opposite, you never know. I think we'd have benefited from a new manager, but Bruce deserves some loyalty for his success in the first two seasons and I'm glad we've given him it.
Yes last season the three who went down all sacked a manager during the season. Or two managers in Fulham's case.
Strange season last year as there were numerous managerial sackings - only three teams in the bottom 10 didn't change - ourselves, West Ham and Villa - changes at Palace, West Brom and Sunderland certainly saw them move up the table - Norwich sacked Hughton only when it was too late anyway
What a load of bollocks. You can't keep on sacking managers- the Mackems might get away with it again, but they'll be relegated soon if they carry on that way.
It could get us the goals we need. Perhaps Harper in goal, McGregor up front & stick Phelan in midfield, he used to be quite handy in there before he was a **** coach?
i said change bruce back in december.. changing now will do NOTHING so we stick with bruce thing what i've been thinking about is sunderland - they seem to just stay up every season.. is that y'know? exciting.. think the premier league can get extremely ****ing dull tbh
Yeah, let's stick our 40 year old goalkeeper with the distribution skills of a chimp in goal. Or maybe you'd like the third choice, plays against Gateshead reserves goalkeeper who is remembered by fans as a blunder machine? Get a grip, McGregor hasn't been on top form, but he's won us more points this season than he's cost us, easily. Same last season.
Mcgregor needs replacing, but he's the best we have at the minute so there no point complaining really
I swear your all f*****g stupid! And you sound more and more stupid the more you stick up for him. I dont really mind if we play with a 50 year old in goal, as long as he can do the most easiest of tasks without turning it into a mistake. McGregor has cost us way too many points this season and a run in europe with his stupid pass to their striker. You have your own rose tinted opinion on McGregor but please dont try and prove me wrong, the guys a liabilty! and if we go down 6 points worse off I will massively blame him! For atleast one of his many mistakes! No matter what
Bruce will see mcgregor in training & in video analysis so if he thinks he's the no1 then that'll do me! The last thing we need is people calling individual players when we need everyone pulling in the right direction! Plenty of twists to go yet.
No mate, you're the ****ing stupid one if you can't differentiate between being out of form and having a lack of ability. You know full well that McGregor has made countless saves this season, including a penalty against WBA and yet he makes mistakes. Well, **** me, can you tell me a footballer that doesn't make a mistake? Ever? Yeah he's dropped a couple of clangers but the only reason it's highlighted more is because he's a goalkeeper. Take Saturday for example, why didn't anybody close Shelvey down, despite knowing he can score from range? Why didn't anybody pick up Ki's run into the box? Yes, McGregor could've pushed it in a different direction, fine, but he actually SAVED the initial shot from going in, when you in particular were critical of us conceding from outside the area. I can remember two games where his and his mistakes alone have cost us the game, but I can remember a lot of times he's saved penalties, made one handed wonder saves and kept us in matches. He's out of form at the moment, but then looking at the Swansea game, there are a fair few who aren't doing so well. This happened to Jakupovic and he wasn't seen again for nearly a year, so why do you think Bruce persists with him? Just to annoy you or because he's actually a good goalkeeper and your point of view has skewed your way of looking at how he plays? You'll obviously blame the goalkeeper, of course you will, you're incredibly short sighted and clearly need some sort of scapegoat to justify why we end up where we are. If we go down, it's because the team as a whole weren't good enough over the course of 38 games, not because of one single player. It's obvious we need another goalkeeper, Harper is retiring so we need somebody else to challenge for McGregor's place. No doubt you'll be on his case too when he inevitably concedes a goal.
