According to world football Celtic fans are the second most dedicated fans in the world, behind Barca only, meanwhile former now defunct rfc and new club SEVCO do not even make the top 25. Not surprising really given that Celtic, with the second most dedicated fans in the world, have 153 supporters clubs world wide while now defunct rfc have a mere 53. Criteria included tradition, culture, travelling support, especially important was the 80,000(100,000 according to Spanish tourist board) world record overseas fans in Seville in 2003. I wonder if the trashing of Manchester Barca, Wolverhampton etc had any bearing. Reputation was one factor. Congratulations to Celtic fans playing in a small country gaining the recognition they deserve. Posts from fans of other clubs, outwith SEVCO, are in agreement with the placing of Celtic, given the huge number of games the club is invited to, such as RM in Philli and the testimonials etc. WELL DONE LADS. Given recognition and respect outside your own country.
Of course Rangers did not feature. Their fans sat on their holes whilst their club ceased to exist and most of them ****ed off to support a new one at the first opportunity. Well done Celtic. It comes as no surprise to me at all.
This can't be right, I've been reading for the past couple of weeks that SFL div 3 is THE top league in the world. Any stat outside that division just doesn't exist so stop it now!
"The network still announces the goal of providing an "empowering opportunity for every contributor hoping to establish his or her voice" in the sports blogosphere" So some blogger blogged........
