City have knocked back a second approach from Palarse and are saying that unless they are offered a guarenteed £2m up front then the answer will continue to be no.

Personally, I'd like to see us hold out for at least another £500k or preferably £1m

Bristol City turn down second bid for Albert Adomah from Crystal Palace

Bristol City have turned down a second offer for winger Albert Adomah from Championship rivals Crystal Palace.

The Eagles' initial offer of £1 million, rising to £1.75m including add-ons, was rejected by the Ashton Gate board last Thursday.

As revealed by The Post, Palace immediately set about putting together an improved offer for Adomah, who they want as a long-term replacement for Manchester United-bound Wilfried Zaha.

Palace chief Steve Parish tabled that bid earlier today, offering more cash up front, only to again be rebuffed.

    I'd go one step further, a minimum £4m or £3m with add-ons.....

On ITV 4 they say it's just about done and they could announce it tonight or tomorrow. I just hope we haven't sold our soul to ship him out and it's about time we can actually say that we have made a good deal.

IMO 1.5 million is not enough and if that's what the board decides then I hope they have had the smarts to insist on a decent sell-on clause.

If Zaha is worth £15 million, then Albert is worth at least £4 million and possibly more!
It's a conundrum for the board. Take it now and sell him too cheaply or wait until later and possibly/probably get less.
Anyone know what the Barnet share will be?

5% I heard being talked about when we sined him but as City tend to keep things under their hats doubt if we will find out until after a deal is done and we see the accounts.

Even then it's not easy to find this sort of data from the annual accounts.

They don't get nothing. He was out of contract as because he was under 24 we had to pay them some money. He wasn't a barnet player when we signed him and if it wasn't for his age he would of been a free agent

Especially as Ghana are supposedly one of the top African sides in the top 2 anyway.
