Sky Sports sources understand that Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong has agreed to sign for Norwich City. We will have more on this story shortly. lucky escape
You know what that means! He will have an absolute stormer against us and be a one man back line that keeps everything out!! More realistically, good news on balance I think.
This is good news and further evidence (if needed) that most of what we read in the papers is pure tosh.
I will permit myself a small dance around the room and a lunchtime pint if this is true. Sparky was never interested in him, Colin was the one chasing and crawling up to his mate Arry.
DONE DEAL: Norwich City Beat QPR to Sign Tottenham Defender Sebastien Bassong by Dan Kilpatrick August 21st, 2012 Comments0 Cameroonian to make Canaries switch. Norwich have won the race for unwanted Spurs defender Sebastien Bassong, according to Sky Sports. The 26-year-old is set to sign for the Canaries in the next 24 hours, despite interest from QPR and West Ham. Bassong worked under Norwich boss Chris Hughton at Newcastle and is understood to be keen on a reunion with the Irishman. Hughton has moved quickly to bring in defensive reinforcements, following his sideâs disastrous 5-0 opening day defeat at Fulham. The arrival of Jan Vertonghen and the return of Steven Caulker have pushed Bassong way down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and, along with Caulker and Michael Dawson, he did not make the squad for Spurs clash with his former club Newcastle on Saturday. Bassong arrived at Spurs from St Jamesâ Park in 2009 for £8m and played a crucial part in helping the club to an historic fourth placed finish in his first season. But the former Metz star fell out of favour under former boss Harry Redknapp and was used only sparingly during the past two campaigns.
Panic signing, he isnt very good but that doesnt stop the fact that he will have his 1 outstanding game this season against us.
He bloody didn't I was watching him ... he had **** to do after Cisse went ... MM won their 3 points for them that day by changing the formation at H/T Bassong won't become a bad player overnight ... he can't he wasn't that good IMO in the first place ... therefore based on that he will lead Norwich on a unbeaten run that sees them make Europe
