I know some people claim he has all but signed the dotted line but theres been rumblings that he could go elsewhere. In my opinion this would be a big loss, as whilst he may not be the marquee signing a lot of fans seem to unrealistically hoping for, on a free, he would be top notch. Blackburn have been noted to take an interest, as have Galatasaray, who would undoubtedly be tough competition to content with for Larsson's signature. http://www.birminghammail.net/birmi...-to-join-blackburn-says-agent-97319-28823988/ However there is also a new rumour circling that Arsenal want him back. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...nd-Newcastle-and-Blackburn-article744436.html
yep i agree i thought it was a done deal but id be surprised to see Arsenal wanting him back. As for Galatasary i would not even think of going there. Blackburn could not compete with us as he has played under bruce before and blackburn is in turmoil
Samba is a player i have wanted for two seasons. I would also be surprised if blackburn are given any money to spend
Galatasary offer the chance of frequent European football, and offer very good wages. In fact the Turkish league is often underestimated by a lot of English fans, in the same way the Russian league is. Most people seem to think "Turkey/Russia? Never seen those leagues so they must be awful. Yet they are very popular in their own regions and generate huge revenues so can afford to compete on wages. Hence why you see unquestionably talented players who may not cut it or are a little too old for the Spanish league, or sometimes the Premier league who head out to Turkey. Im thinking of players such as Roberto Carlos, Quaresma, Baros. Even old Cisse is at Galatasaray now!
@Mitch you have clearly underestimated Blackburn too, remember Venkys bought them out and clearly have money to throw away as evidenced by their attempts to sign Ronaldinho. Also read this: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n.../exclusive-blackburn-tell-kean-spend-big-stay
Well lets wait and see personally i wanted them relegated for the simple fact they openly admit they know nothing about football and sacked a manager for no reason what so ever. Its not that i like Allerdyce its just they did not give him a chance and it nearly cost them their place in the premiership, and i hope it does cost them their place next year
I agree, I despise Venkys vehemently. They have almost become a caricature of the typical foreign consortium takeover with more money than sense that happens in football. But this does not take away from the fact they have the potential financial clout to draw a player's attention away from us.
Easier to get to Brum from B/BURN than SUNDERLAND, if his gaffes there, and a bird or two, no arguement then.
