First of all, what a great result today I was listening to 5 Live earlier today and they were interviewing Seb. Some of what was said got me thinking back to when MoN was still in charge. I remember reading and listening to lots of comments from MoN and one or two players suggesting that all was well with the team, that they had a fighting spirit and knew that they were all in it together. So you can imagine my surprise when Seb admitted on 5 Live that the team were not as close as they should have been, suggesting that there was in fact division between the players. So perhaps we now know the real reason why the team was performing so poorly under Martins leadership. I can't see the division being caused by personality clashes in the team, because we still have the same players, so it must have been something else that caused the behind the scenes upset. Perhaps it was tactics, perhaps it was the coaching set up? I suppose we will never get to hear the truth, but one thing is clear for all of us to see. The last three games have clearly shown that PDC has done a fantastic job of pulling the team together. I can honestly say that I have never experienced such a togetherness at our wonderful club before. The chairman, manager, coaches, team and fans all pulling in the same direction is the result of one mans passion for the game....... Take a bow Paulo DiCanio.
look beyond pdc , look at the crew he has along side him all like minded , any ****er can defend and lose. lifeboat men never turn back, mindset
Interesting.. Catts and Bardo are best mates, I saw picture on Facebook of Catts visiting Bardo's new baby in hospital. (I Know Catts sister). Gardner, Wickham and Bardo were at a boxing event on Fri night, so looks like the team get on well!
There is undoubtedly a real spirit out there but to be fair, Martin also got this reaction when he first came here and the team ran through brick walls for each other then, only to revert back again later. I'm happy to see the revival lads and PDC is a breath of fresh air but I think the hard job starts in May when he has to make the necessary changes to personnel to stop the rot happening again.
Very true. Hes already said that any Premiership team needs 5 strikers, so looks like thats going to be priority. It will be interesting to see who our targets will be and what funds will be available. Does anybody know if Paulos brought his own scouts in or not??
the whole caboodle is in place look at his assistance on the safc site , you wont get scouts names in print for obvious reasons
