Jermain Defoe made his MLS debut yesterday and did what he always does in those games:

Clint Dempsey got a goal back for the hosts, but it was not enough to stop his side losing to Ryan Nelsen's team.
Other ex-Premier League players included Julio Cesar, Obafemi Martins, Steven Caldwell and the still-**** Djimi Traore.

I'm just amazed he stayed onside for the first one.

Fair play to JD. I hope he continues to score.

From the looks of some of the defending there Defoe is going to tear up the MLS. Also the atmosphere sounded great there, not what I was expecting for some reason.

Well I did enjoy the Spurs combination for Toronto's 2nd - sublime (back)pass from Dempsey to Defoe <laugh>
