I renewed my season ticket on line, filled out the usual info and handed over the credit card number and Robert is married to your Dad's Sister, all booked.

One of the gang phoned to book as he isn't on 'tinternet and they gave him the third degree about the Lower Loft being a family only stand and he couldn't renew without either a junior or under 8 sitting next to him.

Is it possible that people in the Lower Loft are going to renew their tickets and fake applications for non-existent kids? The result would be a lot of empty seats and the home end will look very poor as a result.

They might freeze our ticket prices this season and even up-grade us to better seats at no extra cost THIS SEASON, but if I move to a more expensive seat as a result of the kids only policy sooner or later it is going to cost me a lot more and I might have to consider not renewing my ST or be forced to sit in cheaper seats away from the rest of the crew I usually go with.

Any info from the club regarding this or do any of you kind souls have a solution?

I think that's exactly what will happen, Grove. It's an unworkable system. Families should get priority for the family stand, if we really have to have one, but if the families can't fill it then they should go on general sale.

And what happens if your kid can't go to a game (must be pretty common in the era of 8pm evening kick offs)? Is the adult barred from the ground without a youngster to sit next to?

They havent thought this through, people will renew with a free fake u8 ticket with will be costing the club thousands each game in total.

We will be able to see when the club announces a sell out and there are loads of empty spaces.

It will happen, theres already threads on it in other forums. They can make money on it by selling the seat for the big games.

I have a guy that sits behind me and he buys a ticket on his own but we talk and will see each other at away games.
It will be pretty annoying that he will be turfed out and i doubt I will see him again at LR.

I noticed on the season ticket forms that proof of age is required for children. I don't recall giving this when I originally bought my tickets and it does say it is not required for renewals. Perhaps they are now policing it for precisely that reason
