"This season, our faithful supporters renewing their Season Tickets won't pay a penny more than they did last campaign." Link to Club page showing prices: http://www.fulhamfc.com/tickets/season-tickets/pricing-and-stadium-map
And ... Message from The Chairman please log in to view this image Under Slaviša Jokanović, we will enter the 2016/17 campaign with great anticipation and confidence as high as it has been in years. Slaviša will be given the green light to build a team capable of promotion, and that’s important, because it appears the Sky Bet Championship will be as difficult as ever. The complete support and passion of our loyal fans will be crucial as we begin our first full season under Slaviša’s direction and take aim at promotion, and that’s why season ticket prices will not increase next season. We want and need you with us! Further, we plan more promotions and opportunities to reward the faith of our supporters, who always help to make Craven Cottage one of the premier destinations in all of football. I personally thank all of our supporters and, in particular, our Season Ticket Holders who never waver and can always be counted on to stand behind the Whites, both at matches and every day of the year. Thank you, and Come On You Whites! please log in to view this image
Is that because of all the decisive goals we've conceded in injury time over the last couple of seasons? As in, we've got to keep playing for more than 90 minutes.
My BS monitor just blew up after reading the Chairman's message Note: You have till May 26th @5pm to renew your seat
Ehmm.. yeah, I highlighted that line about what Slavi would be given since the term "green light" is so ambiguous. Does it mean no meddling from Rigg or the Analytic(s)? Does it mean the cheque book's coming out? Or is it all froth to encourage us to buy and rescinded when the FFP embargo isn't lifted? Also kind of strange that nowhere in the blurb is there mention of what's going to happen to folks with tickets in the Riverside - assuming the development is going to start. Could be they're not affected till the season after next, but you'd nonetheless have expected some sort of reference .. wouldn't you, if it is starting in May 2016.?
Not sure about our "fair share of highs and lows this season". The highs can probably be counted on one hand. Freezing prices appears to be all we are being offered. But, as ever, COYW!
And ... Regardless of all that, I of course had renewed my season ticket by the end of the afternoon. COYW
Despite having renewed my season ticket last week a 'pack' arrived in the post this morning inviting me to apply. Could be cynical and suggest that the number of renewals thus far is so low that it was cheaper to do a blanket 'mail shot' to all ST holders rather than spend time and money sifting out the ones that had renewed. Which brings me to the real reason for this post - the attendance stats for this and last season: Average attendance this season 17, 582 (so far, with one game to go) Source: http://www.soccerstats.com/attendance.asp?league=england2 Average attendance last season 18,371 Source: http://www.football-league.co.uk/documents/average-attendance549-2598153.pdf Season ticket holders last season 11,034 Source: http://www.football-league.co.uk/documents/season-ticker-holders549-2598173.pdf [Unfortunately there's no corresponding data publicly available as yet for the corresponding number of ST holders this season] That's a drop from just over an average of 25,000 in our last year in the Premiership (season 2013/14); a drop which was inevitable. And pretty much in line with what was predicted for our first year in the Championship (season 2014/14); down 24%. Season tickets however only showed a fall of 15%, which implies that a core stayed with the Club. The continued downward trend in average attendance for 2015/16 clearly indicates dissatisfaction of what's been happening on and off the pitch. However, without that elusive information about ST sales this season it's not possible to draw hard conclusions. Nonetheless, any inroads to that core support and it does not bode well for ST sales in season 2016/17.
It just tells me that there's a laziness about the club C58. It's filtered all round the club. It wouldn't have taken much to take out all those that have renewed and target the ones who haven't yet (they could have crossed in the post as it were). A lack of professionalism in all departments. Everyone needs a kick up the backside at the whole club including players. The slide in attendance will be more noticeable next season if we don't have a decent off season with new signings and getting rid of all the pay cheque suckers! Christ, whats happening to me. When things go well you put up with these kinds of things, they're more pronounced when your team has had a crap season.
The attendance for our last game of this season was 17,201 (must say it seemed more but that the official figure). So the average for the year dips a bit more. With around 1,200 Bolton fans at the game - and didn't they do well in supporting a relegated team - that means our own fanbase is teetering on 16,000 and of that you probably have something like a core 10,000. In the match day Programme (yes, I bought one this week - for nostalgia's sake) Mr Khan bummed up Slavi and also said, "I want to assure you that all efforts will be made to field a side next season that will start fast , remain strong and compete for promotion. And with the prospect of Aston Villa and at least one other Premier League mainstay coming to the Championship in Sunderland or Newcastle United , the battle for promotion next season will be extremely fierce. My pledge to you is we'll be up to the task." Dearly want to believe him but unfortunately we've heard the rhetoric before just when STs go on sale and I suspect quite a few won't be duped again.
That as a long-suffering, subdued sound to it Surly but well done. Keep flying the flag I say. please log in to view this image
The Club have today announced that tickets can now be purchased for matches throughout the season. A very strange move. Could speculate that season ticket sales are way down and there's a desparate need to pull in revenue up front. "On Monday 4th July all but two 2016/17 home matches will be on General Sale. As valued Season Ticket Holders and Members, all those who have renewed their cards have an exclusive window to purchase additional match tickets. This unique window is now open and ends at 10am on Monday 4th July, when all fans will be able to purchase match tickets. Due to safety considerations neither QPR on 1st October, or Brentford on 29th April are included yet, however you can register your interest here to ensure you are the first to know when these matches go on sale. Two New Ticket Packages In addition to all home games being on sale, also new this season, fans will have the option of purchasing tickets for either three consecutive home league fixtures via our new ‘The Hat-trick’ ticket package, or for the first 12 home league matches of the season, via ‘The First Half’ ticketing option, both at a discounted rate from match by match purchases. We hope you’ll agree this makes bringing friends and family along to support the Whites even easier and we look forward to seeing you for the pre-season friendly against Crystal Palace at the Cottage when Slaviša Jokanović leads his team out for the final preparation match before we begin the 2016/17 campaign." Could also read into it that there a no new marquee signings on the way to gender up a surge in the sale of season tickets. With the current state of things at the Club and disillusion among fans (apathy even) it's difficult to see how this 'strategy' will work. Indeed it may even be counter productive and only encourage those still unsure about buying a season ticket to say, "why bother?".
