I received my season ticket renewal a couple of weeks ago and if you did not want to renew you could send a "do not renew" slip back to the SOL. Apart from the obvious on field problems I was just wondering if the club has recieved so many of these slips back that they were going to lose most of the die hard fan base and therefore were forced to take action on the manager. How many on here did not renew?

Haven't had a season ticket for years now had my fill in the 15/19 point seasons. Our boy has his and his sons both not getting renewed this time around also know a few who are flatly refusing to pay this time around as well.

Sadly MoN's negative style was driving off some fans. If we get in a new manager who plays nice stuff and we score plenty goals at home attendances will go up.

Take the Swansea game as an example - who wants to play 30 quid to watch us not attack?

I have mine waiting to get posted before the 5th April deadline, but i might wait to see if Short gets an experienced foreign manager in this time, but not Hughes, Alladyce etc.

I've had a season ticket since mick buxton was in charge nearly 20 years ago and on thursday I hand delivered my slip at the ticket office to say that im not renewing. It was a wrench tbh and im still bit gutted. I've seen much worse sunland teams in my time but im just bored of it all. Its the same old same old no matter who is in charge etc. Even adam johnson and MON are crap when whey come here! I feel im letting Ellis Short down by not renewing cos he got the manager we all wanted so its not his fault is it. And he backed him with money as he has done with the other managers...

It's a good point, what with season ticket renewal, tv deal next season, it's a must we stay up. I gave my season ticket up years ago sadly. Been picking games to go to since then, started off with a couple of games this season, thought I'm not wasting my money, started watching games online and now don't even do that. It's the worst football I've ever witnessed

Thing is mate without a ticket you pick and choose your games, you do get the chance of the big games as well and in the fizzy pop they'll be paying you to go in.

I hummed and harred, told everyone I wasn't renewing.

    Then renewed.

I do think there's some credibility in the article though, Ellis is a businessman and people voting with their feet will do it.

My love of Sunderland goes beyond the current crop of players and owner. If I can afford one I'll buy one regardless of manager, players or league. Just hope I can spare the cash.

No disrespect intended here mate because I too have been one of those blindly loyal fans for 39 years but its because we have fans that just come along regardless of the **** served up, that we have been ****ing hapless for 70 years.

We offer our support too easily and have received nothing in return in my lifetime. Maybe its time to call it a day too as I'm sick to death of hearing away fans over the years come here and chant going down. This will be my 8th or 9th (I lose count) relegation and thats 6 or 7 too many.

This will be the last one for me to endure. I fear for the clubs future that I won't be alone in those sentiments either.
