Just wondering why the forms haven't gone out yet. 3 possible reason: 1. Ineptitude (unlikely) 2. Some accounting / tax reason (possible but can't think what) 3. The new manager name will be high profile and they want to wait til after announcement so as to boost sales. Can anyone think of any other reason?
Given the fact in most previous years the forms have gone out at the end of April, I wondered why there had been a change. Obviously you have no idea.
Allams have stated in the Hull Daily Fail that season passes have been held up until the Manager position is sorted and pointed out that in the past the club issued early renewal as it needed the money and in their own words "That is not the case now"
This is the kind of mixed message from the Allams the breeds uncertainty amongst the fans. What you said being the case, why, then, have they been on such a strident cost-cutting regime for the last 12 months now?
Perhaps they just see the 'back room staff' as unnecessary resource. Whilst we may not be desperate for cash in the HCAFC a/c, there's no harm in getting the rest of the house in order. Particularly with financial fair play on the horizon. I do think there were a lot of people employed at the club in fairly ambiguous and pointless roles, if the money saved on back room staff can be redeployed to where it matters, on the pitch, then surely that's a positive?
Previous Piss poor Management that allowed TOO many Mobile Phone A/C s and Company Cars and Top Heavy Staff costs that had to change. It wasnt only Player Contracts that were too high but Backroom staff to, ALL had to be reduced if we as a Club were to survive.
The way to run a sound business is to minimise costs and maximise revenue. Part of minimising costs is to have unobstructed cash-flow to reduce financing costs. Part of fluid cash-flow is getting the season ticket money in as fast as possible. It's slack business practice to let this slide for no reason.
They would probably have been out already, had they not sacked Nick, they obviously don't want to send them out while we have no manager. I've also seen a suggestion that they're moving things around, making the South Stand a family stand and having a singing section in the north east corner, but I've no idea if there's anything in that.
You could always ring up the Allams and ask them as they seem to own the club, or like the rest of us go by the latest press release from them. Does there always have to be a sinister reason behind everything the club do or say as seem's the norm on here these days? There is obviously no news as the Daily fail have not reported on anything since the 18th.
I would suggest its down to a poor take up due to the current mis-management going on at the club at present. Option 3 may kick-in sometime in the future.
May have something to do with the over spending of the previous regime.? Ive always thought the club were over staffed in some areas.
Might be valid if they didnt pay bloody horribly for back-office staff. Some are on not much more than minimum wage.

They do'nt need the money up front and seeing as they only get 15 quid a match from seasons pass holders and close to 30 quid from a walk up customer over an entire season they will generate more money from ticket sales. Perhaps they think that seasons tickets are a bit cheap so they are not actively promoting them, just a thought no facts to back it up but it makes sense to me and it would fit in with the"maximise the income" thing that they been going on about
I would say so if you see the shambolic way it is being run behind the scenes nowadays. And this is no criticism of staff, merely not enough number. Lest we forget Pompey made more people redundant than we ever had in back office staff.
The bottom line is get the season pass money early regardless of who is or is not manager, how many backroom staff we have or do not have How can we not need the money???? 10,000 passes at £400 a go = £4 million in the bank what's the interest on that for 3 summer months? 100k if invested wisely? You don't become a multi millionaire by turning down those opportunities......
