Just read this on the EDP website and I feel it's the least McNally and the board can do to reward the dedicated fans. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/norwich...ark_80th_anniversary_of_carrow_road_1_3920510 Charlton Athletic £150 Blackpool £195.30 Birmingham £230 Blackburn Rovers £249 Huddersfield Town £249 Wigan Athletic £280 Derby County £285 Fulham £299 Bolton Wanderers £304 Wolverhampton Wanderers £320 Cardiff City £329 Millwall £333 Brentford £343 Sheffield Wednesday £360 Watford £366 Reading £375 Nottingham Forest £389 Ipswich Town £399 Middlesbrough £430 Leeds United £445 Rotherham United £450 Brighton and Hove Albion £465 Bournemouth £480 Norwich £499.50
I guess it goes some to explaining why Derby and sometimes Cardiff get good attendances, but some of those prices leave me near speechless! Charlton Athletic £150 Blackpool £195.30 How do they do it? and I suppose the same could be asked of anyone from Bolton and downwards.
We sell out almost every game, but to me the ticket prices in general are way too steep. I have to be £35 to watch my team play on any Saturday and pay for the train. That is a lot of money for me.
Yes RM2, if you have to pay for travel/parking on top of your ticket price plus any beer food, it becomes an expensive day out. I'm lucky and can bike or get the bus. I see Charlton for away fans is £28 - no way!!!
Its hardly surpising. It's all about supply & demand. There can't be many teams in the championship that fill their grounds as well as we do.
From an economic sense they can charge whatever price multipled by number of seats filled for that price gives the highest total. So I see why our prices are so high if we fill the ground in spite of this but for fans who live on a student loan over a hundred miles away it is almost impossible to see my team play!
