Anyone got any thoughts or ideas what these might be IF (BIG IF) we go down next year ? Could be interesting to see if Amit and Tony are true to their word after the insulting prices we were charged last year by the 'goons' for Premiership football. Also it will be interesting to see how big the crowds are next year and how many games we sell out. I'm hoping at least some of the 'new wave' supporters who were filling the place against Man U, Chelsea & Liverpool are still coming when we play Peterboro, Hull & Watford.
Im sure they would keep it in line with the other clubs.Ive just got a gut feeling we will be in the CCC next season.Just the way with our club
I desperately want us to stay up, but am much more likely to get a season ticket, whatever the price, if we go down - simply because match days and kick off times are much more predictable and I hate the idea of shelling out and then not being able to go. Having said that the membership scheme has worked well for me this year - got to all the games I was physically able to, but pretty crappy seats sometimes. Prices........if the owners are honest they should be stable if we stay up, drop a bit if we go down. Don't hold your breath though.
If we stay up there will probably be another rise because we will end up bringing in more players and signing those we have on loan (if it is decided they are any good). Should we go down (more likely) there could be a few highly paid players leaving but some might still hang around in the Championship earning a bundle. To afford this I don't reckon the ST price will not drop by much. We never got much of a crowd for Coventry or Donny so they won't be missed, Pompey always brought a decent crowd although I've never forgiven them for invading the family stand a few years back! The way it stands in League One we will be in for a London derby with Charlton and either or both of the Sheffield teams promoted too so there could be some high capacity games if not sell outs. Could also get Stevenage or MK Dons though so I wouldn't expect many away fans for those. It is going to be tough trying to get back up if we drop, many teams will consider us to be a major scalp having left the Championship so recently only to bounce back down the next season. What ever happens I'll be renewing my season ticket, I'm a glutton for punishment! Up the R's!!!
Should, of course, get a bumper crowd for the visit of the "mighty" LUFC...... And we'll be able to welcome Cardiff back to the Bush too
Prices will be interesting. This is the first time in many years that the 'product' will likey be less attractive than the previous season. Logically prices should go down but somehow I doubt that. And of course there will be the built in argument that there will be more games as part of the package.
Some interesting views, and not really want i wanted to hear. It seems I'm pretty much alone in thinking (hoping) that we might be in line for a substantial discount if we are playing Championship football next year. Personally I am gonna struggle to justify paying Premiership prices if the standard isn't up to Premiership quality. As my youngest turns in to a 'young adult' next season i cant see myself finding £1500 to watch games when the place is half empty. Guess i could do what a lot do and get a membership and pick and choose my matches...but as someone put on here before, watching QPR is like taking Heroin....you always hate the fact you sampled it but you can never get enough.
I'd imagine they'd be charging £30 for single tickets in Gold, 25 in silver and 35 in Platinum so 30 x 23 = 690, probably £600 for a season ticket in goal, 500 in silver at a guess. It's a ****load of money and I'd like to think it'll be less.
I'll discount anything happening then then!! Would be very strange to announce prices before they know which league we will be in. Your first team contact is doing their best to make you look even more daft!
Just my opinion, it wouldn't make commercial sense in any way shape or form. I guess we'll know on Monday just like we established the truth about MH resignation.
