What a load of bollocks. How the club try and spin the price freeze as a positive, they put the prices up saying were in the Premier League and now next season we will 90% likely be in the championship yet paying the Premier League prices. They will no doubt spin the line that there are 4 more home games giving better value per game but they should have remembered that last year I had a season ticket watching Leicester in the Premier League, Championship and League 1 so being in whatever league don't chance the fact I will renew. But not doubt we will lose the 10K who just turned up for the Premier League http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/season-tickets-price-freeze-for-201516-2356618.aspx
Your missing the point You cant say hey Premier League football premier league prices to justify a price increase And then get relegated and use but you get 4 more games in the championship to justify a price freeze
Your missing the point You cant say hey Premier League football premier league prices to justify a price increase And then get relegated and use but you get 4 more games in the championship to justify a price freeze
Proud no offence but I´m taking it you´ve been watching football for a good while so I only see it as abit of naivety on your part. Do you really think the prices will go down ? A freeze is all you´ll get at best. LCFC have taken in the premiership money for a season & like most, if not all, clubs ain´t going to give that up (unless they slip down to lge div 1 that is). Football has been robbing ppl for years. I got old football tickets still from 20 odd years ago & in one game (v Brum 2nd tier football) I paid 7.50, ok for standing but another game (v Watford) I paid 13 quid to sit down. 2 years ago (v Brum again 2nd tier) I paid 24 quid... blame the players for getting, what, 20 - 30,000 per week ´IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP´ I´m expected to pay 80-90 quid for a champ lge ticket for Borussia Dortmund & 50-60 for a lge game, **** off I´ve got a TV thanks. Like some one said 10K less fans for being in the champ´ship, but for LCFC next season that will be like only 5k less because you´ll be paying prem prices. Not daft these football clubs are they ? No offence meant.
Last time we went down the prices were slashed , but I expect our STs our a fair bit more expensive than yours. Hopefully they'll do that again.
Just read it myself ... couldn't help chuckling - well if we had any real doubt about how 'they' perceived 'us' we now know for sure ...
Please somebody correct me if I am wrong, But I have a ST in G block and I cant remember there being much of a increase last year! In fact I thought it was very reasonable considering we got promoted. The only downer was the fact that we have played like a load of T**ts at home this season. I shall certainly be renewing for next season no matter what league we are playing in.
THE FOXES I get how football clubs work I just don't like how they think we are all stupid and make this great deal of freezing prices when they only increase them last year. Ive had a season ticket for over 10 years and I will still renew, I don't expect them to reduce them because we won't be in the prem, just don't spin us the same standard lines every year
The links no longer work for the club website but I found our thread from on here. 8% increase for this season http://www.not606.com/threads/season-tickets.139603/
Again please correct me, but last season if you renewed your ST under the early bird scheme there was no increase in the cost!
If they're the same price next season as they were when you were last in the championship thats fair enough! WTFs he moaning about?
I think it's the irony of the positive spin ... have to say my thoughts were somewhat akin when I read it ... felt a bit like the doctor consoling a guy for having amputated the wrong foot by mistake, so he's now lost both ... but it's not all bad news as they've found someone interesested in buying his slippers
Think our season tickets increased by around £15 for our season in the Prem. Happy that there is no increase for next year. Stepson is a STH at Arsenal - needs a fookin mortgage to pay it. Think ourselves lucky lol.
All season tickets went up by 8% this season from last year As FF said, I'm not moaning about they haven't brought the prices down, its just how the spin the "price freeze" garbage as a major thing they are doing
but there are MORE GAMES! Think about how they do season tickets - work out the cost for the non-season ticket holders and then make it cheaper by about 2 games-ish. Yes, the opposition are less but there are MORE GAMES!
But they put the prices up for this season as its premier league You cant then justify not bringing them down because their is more games
... hmm ... the maths work ed ... just one tincy wincy (call me Mister Picky) criticism .... Bristol City, Preston and Swindon ... likely to be 3 of those 'additional' games (and absolutely no disrespect meant) ... but you are effectively trading full houses against (perhaps) Sunderland, Villa and West Brom for those ...
Two things to do, pay the price or don´t. Football prices are a **** take now a days as most, if not all, know. So the ball is really in your court. I can´t even get a ticket for Borussia Dortmund because it´s sold out 10 or so weeks before hand (80,000 cap with 55,000 ST holders). I´ve seen Man City, Chelsea, Southampton & Everton (to name a few) on TV/PC this season & they ain´t even been sold out. WHY ? most Bundes liga games are reasonably priced 20-40 € plus there is standing at about 15 € & the forementioned teams are charging to much & are not getting the fans through the turn styles. I can´t comment on Arsenal & Manc Poo as I only watch those games when they play your Chelsea, Liverpool & Man City & they are always sold out.
