Hello all, I am student currently living and studying in Madrid, where I have been doing so for the past 4 years. However, next summer I will be returing to Southampton where I will be attending university. As I will be living again in Southampton I had planned to get a season ticket for next season but I have encountered a slight problemâ¦I have no one to go with. When I come back to England on holiday, which I do twice a year, I always go to watch Saints atleast once and I go with a group of friends, none of them however are season ticket holders and they just go to the occasional match. I asked them if they had any plans on getting a season ticket for next season, assuming that someone would, to find out that for one reason or another no of them can, which is really frustrtaing becuase if I get a season ticket I will have no one to go with and I don´t want to just go to the occasional match. My family will all be staying in Spain so I can´t go with a family member, and besides that, my family don´t have any interest in football whatsoever. So, is there any fellow Saints fan who will be getting a season ticket next season and I could go with? I know it sounds stupid but I am in a desperate situation. If anyone is willing/interested can you reply to this or pm me. Thankyou!
Reminds me of when somebody does not get a date on take me out and they leave to the theme tune "all by myself". And yes I do watch it sometimes.
Take me out is an amazing show. Just go on your own, and chat to the people beside you! I could only afford a "Last 10" season ticket this season, but i have been going on my own. Youre there to watch football at the end of the day..
Honestly though mate you will soon get chatting to people in pubs and get to know them or don't you mix well?.
Chapel is where the friendliest bunch hang out so, though it'll obviously take some bravery, just head there and make friends with the people around you. Alternatively, going alone won't be too bad. You're there to watch the football, not for a chat.
Kingsland North's pretty friendly too and you'll get a better atmosphere there... Loving the Leicester badge btw
Get yourself down the K.A you'll soon be chatting to people and meeting a few people to drink with before or after games.
I have absolutely no problem in meeting and mixing with new people but if I end up having to sit next to some d*ck then it could be really annoying.
I'm a Kingsland North regular, always with friends so don't really talk to those around me. Atmosphere is very good there, sometimes you get people who seem friendly but there are a few ****ers in there too! Haha yeah, gotta show my support, will be off after about half 9 tonight, unless they win/draw when I might leave it on overnight
If Leicester win tonight, maybe -Dan ought to leave the badge on for a few days. I do understand the posters dilemma. The only reason I don't have a season ticket is that I go with different groups of irregular attenders. I have been on my own and I have struck up a conversation but it's not the same as going with your mates. Can any ST holders tell me, is it possible have a season ticket but move the seat if you want to go with a large group? There are ten of us going next Saturday, but the average number is probably five or six, none of which would be interested in getting a season ticket.
I am pretty sure there will be plenty of those to chose from! Lol! I live in Reading and often travel to games alone but I have also met a decent amount of people in the pubs I will go for a beer with you before the first game of next season
Thanks for the advice. I would prefer to sit in the Kingsland or the Itchen stand though as they are the best views. I know you´re no there for a chat but I can´t just sit in silence throughout a match!
Thanks. I may have to look into a ST next season. I go all the home games possible so it would save a fair bit.
You will be welcome to join me and my mate for matches next season, although we are a bit older than you. We will be getting season tickets in Kingsland North next season, probably block 35. As long as you dont start booing our players, like some of the knobs i have sat near this season at various times,we will get on fine, lol.
haha lol. Thanks for the reply. When I mentioned earlier than if I were to go on my own I would be worried about having to sit next to some d*ck, the people who boo are the people I class as d*ck´s, so there is no problem there. The good thing is that I have sat in block 35 kingsland a few times and I liked the atmosphere. Just how old much older are you? I don´t mind about age, just curious. I´m 18 btw.
Go on your own, and just chip in the phrase "hey ref, you're missing a good game over there" .....in my experience the people around you will be friends for life
