Tractor boy here. I come in peace too, met some quality Norwich lads in Riga of all places once and you were all very friendly.

Ignoring this weekends results, how do you expect the canaries to fare this season? Can you bounce straight back?

Also, how do you think we will end up doing?

I think Wes Hoolahan will have a very good season.

Try not to abuse me too much!

It's too early to tell but my gut feeling is we'll finish around mid table. I saw the Ipswich game on Saturday and thought they played quite well, will probably do better than us and finish higher in the table.

It was worse than anything under Hootun, and when you consider we were playing against a team who were in division 3 last season and not Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool then that has to be more than a tad concerning.

Don't expect much better from the Watford game on Saturday either if I'm being honest, I expect them to be in the mix for most of the season so will be a very tricky one indeed.

Tbh I don't want this to happen but I think Neil Adams will be gone come November, the board won't be as willing to give a manager a chance like last season. It's a ridiculous thing to say after just one game I know, but it doesn't help I've had my concerns over the Adams appointment and they're not going away.

Neil Lennon said on Goals on Sunday he was willing to manage in the Championship and I think he was the better option, now he'll probably go to Huddersfield and do well imo.

It strikes me as a vaguely similar situation to the last time we were together in this league. One side had spent a bit and had good individuals, the other a group that is better than the sum of it's parts.

I would imagine that most if not all of you in the yellow corner wouldn't swap a single player from our squad to replace any of your players (similar to our stance at start of 2010-11 season)

But what we are is a street smart championship side that knows what to do to win matches, the likes of Norwich, Cardiff and as we saw Saturday, Fulham will struggle to acclimatise early on but I fancy both of us will finish in the top half.

If we play like we did yesterday we'd be lucky to get mid table, we lacked intensity yesterday and didn't really get out of first gear.

I just hope that Cotswold enjoyed his big day out yesterday!

You have to give credit to the care in the community scheme for allowing miscreants like that out on day release.

some fair points from westlake and kopr. i predicted we'd finish 9th during pre season but as i'd said before, you may as well stick a pin in the league ladder to determine our position because its a complete lottery at the moment. we could just as easily finish top, middle or bottom! i don't see neil adams lasting long in the job so any managerial change would alter things and its difficult to know which players will still be on our books by the end of august. opening games don't set the benchmark for a season but neither are they irrelevant. i saw nothing to suggest norwich have the nous on or off the pitch to challenge at the top but it can change very quickly.

Thanks for the response guys, well thought through and no arguments ( crikey! )

Watford will be a horrible game I'd imagine, I think they'll be top 3 for certain.

Brighton / Leeds will be the two names that will struggle I think.
