Season So Far - Comparison after 11 games last PL season
With the International break being an unwelcome diversion for most people, I thought I'd use the time to compare where we are now with how the Premier League looked at this stage last season.

Looking at the table there are some good and some bad things to take out of it for Swans fans. The main positive is that both Wigan and Blackburn have fewer points than West Ham did last season.........................................................................http://www.wearepremierleague.com/

The spread of the points is greater this season, but the section between top and bottom is remarkably similar. I think that this only confirms what we already know. It is vital to pick up points against the teams around us, points against the Chelsea's of this world are just a bonus.

It highlights the importance of our next 3 matches.

    Thanks for posting it Northy.

A key factor could be Wigan have lost 8 in a row, their first three games were against the promoted sides which is where their 5 points come from. No team can afford a run like that. Blackburn are a better team than their position suggests so there is no room for complacency, it will go to the wire as it always does. 40+ is required...

I like the statement earlier in the week about how we as a club could cope with relegation.
Now I don't wanna go back there anytime soon but hopefully it'll take any pressure that might build
off the players shoulders, good move imo.

If we play with the same flair as we showed against Man City then we should be ok.

Reckon the prospect of new faces on January will bring us in a few more points than some of the teams around us, as long as the squad doesn't get too destabilised by their arrival - performances like last week against City make me feel a bit more confident that there will be PL football at LR next season.

Incredible that we are only 3 points worse off this season than last, we're bound to do better than we did last season at this rate, already played at Old Trafford, Brittania and Arsenal at home as well <ok>

That stat just shows that the ante has really been upped this season. People were raving about Blackpool but in actual fact Swansea and Norwich in particular have done just as well as them if not better.

Been harping on about the maths forever and three leagues. Hence my prediction of 8th there will be 6/7 points between 8th and 15th
The bottom five will show themselves by end of Jan
    The top seven also
I predict a firm top ten within 3 years and we will be in there

Why all the negativity all of a sudden TBGWTDT?
In light of England's result yesterday,
I was left pondering this little gem.........

2014, Which would I prefer, England win the World Cup, or QPR win the Prem????

I'd prefer a Ferrari in 2014 - but can't see my budget improving much on my Vauxhall!

"2014, Which would I prefer, England win the World Cup, or QPR win the Prem????"

For me it is a no contest.
In fact, given a choice between two, i would choose a victory at Stoke in front of England winning the world cup.

Winning a corner at Stoke will give me more joy than seeing John Terry lift a trophy for England.
