So the end of the season is here. Give your opinions on the players - the good, the bad, and the downright awful!!

    Stand-out for me - RvP.
Biggest surprise - Arteta, wasn't sold on him, the guy has been great.
Biggest breakthrough - Oxo!! Looks great.
    Most undeserving abuse - Theo.
Biggest disappointment - Probably Gervinho, I had very high hopes for him.
Things I'm most looking forward to next season - Coquelin, the return of Wilshere, and the POD!!

What have been your player highlights this season?

    Stand-out for me - RvP.
Biggest surprise - Arteta and Rosicky.
    Biggest breakthrough - Oxo.
    Most undeserving abuse - Theo.
Biggest disappointment - Gervinho has been pants but our consistency has been my biggest gripe.
Things I'm most looking forward to next season - Hoping for a few new signings, not least of which are Theo and RVP renewing contracts. Wilshere being back to his best. Podolski thunderbolts. Nasri slipping in a game and ripping his nutsack open.

    A few more from me.

    Favourite game - Spuds destruction.
Favourite goal - RVPs vs Liverpool but I also spazzed out over Vermaelen's against Newcastle.
Favourite moment - Terry's 'slip', Chessers penalty save are up there amongst the best.
Lowest ebb - 8-2 was soul destorying but for me it was the way we whimpered out at Sunderland in the FA cup.
What have been your player highlights this season?

    Stand-out for me - RVP
Biggest surprise - Arteta for sure...
Biggest breakthrough - I think we can agree on Chamberlain... he has been great.
Most undeserving abuse - Also Walcott... I feel very sorry for the guy, tries hard although not always successful.
Biggest disappointment - Ramsey... felt it might be a chance to step up to the plate but he really has failed to show his true quality.
Things I'm most looking forward to next season - Podolski and RVP playing together. Hopefully some new signings in defence and midfield. The breakthrough of Joel Campbell. Looks a prospect.

Favourite game: 5-3 vs Chelsea. What an epic... classic match. Match of the season for me. Close second would be humiliation of the spuds.
Favourite goal: Vermaelen vs Newcastle... RVP vs Everton as well. The Henry goal vs Sunderland was also special.
Favourite moment: Thierry Henry vs Leeds!
Lowest ebb: Losing 4-0 to Milan and 8-2 to United.

    Stand out: RVP
Biggest surprise: Arteta and to a lesser degree, Rosicky. Arteta has done the simple things really well and made our midfield tick over really well.
    Breakthrough: OXO
Most undeserving abuse: No one deserves abuse, period!
Things I'm looking forward to next season: Seeing the following players play - Miyaichi, Campbell, Wilshere, POD, M'Villa (hopefully), RVP (hopefully), Frimpong (hopefully)
    Favourite game:5-2 spurs

Stand out - Robin van Persie, who else. special mentions also to Szczesny and Koscielny.
Biggest surprise - Arteta and Rosicky. Didn't expect much from either of them tbh.
Biggest breakthrough - Coquelin. Would say AOC as well, except he didn't play that much. There must be a reason he was never brought on as a sub in the last games, probably because he just isn't good enough yet.
Most undeserving abuse - Theo Walcott. Great on the wing this year. Sure he has his headless chicken moments, but the stats back up his impressive form. Also Koscielny, but I think that might only be from TheBear.
Biggest disappointment - Gervinho, but hope he comes good next season. Also Vermaelen, who really needs to be taught positioning over the summer. Dreadful in our last few games. And Ramsey, expected much more from him in that run of games he had.
Looking forward to next season - Return of Wilshere and Diaby. Podolski, The Ox to breakthrough, Miyaichi. A proper challenge for the title and other trophies.

Favourite game - 5-2 spurs or 5-3 chelsea for me. Also the 3-0 win at Milan, almost an epic night.
Favourite goal - van Persie, all 3 of his volleys from Song chips. The one vs. Everton was the best though. Also Arteta's rocket free kick. I thought he could only curl them in!
Favourite moment - Henry and the team celebrating the last goal yesterday.
Lowest ebb - 8-2 united, 4-0 milan, fa cup exit, last 4 games b4 west brom (2 draws, 2 losses i think)

    Stand-out- RvP... no brainer
Biggest surprise - Arteta and Benayoun
Biggest breakthrough - Oxo and Coquelin
Most undeserving abuse - Definitely Theo. His stats are the best he's had!
Biggest disappointment - Ramsey for obvious reasons that have been stated a million times on here. To a lesser extent, Vermaelen because he has looked the weak link in our defence recently which is weird to write. He obviously redeemed himself with a few goals but I used to trust him at the back.

Favourite game - the 5-2 or Chelsea 5-3. Both classics
Favourite goal - RVP vs Everton or Arteta vs City
Favourite moment - Sczesz penalty save vs Udinese or Gibbs last ditch tackle yesterday. EDIT; Henry vs Leeds, couldn't have been written better!
Lowest ebb - Aside from the United game... the Milan game was hard to take. Also that 4-3 loss to Blackburn was a complete embarrassment

Things I'm looking forward to next season:
More consistency. Pretty please? Podolski scoring from 20-30 yards and Wilshere dribbling through the centre of midfield.

Amazingly we have managed to finish 3rd, mostly due to the generosity of the West Brom keeper and Chelski's poor pre-February form.

We have put the Spuds back in their place- beneath us -and salvaged a respectable end to an otherwise variable season.

RVP has been the star of the season and with out him i dread to think where we would be.

Gervinho and Theo have been very disappointing and need to step up a level for next year.

The Ox will be an excellent player for us when Wenger stops treating him like a 14 yr old.

Chesney is a good keeper but needs a stronger no,2 to keep him on his toes.

Our first choice back four is strong on paper but woeful at times particularly at set pieces and Steve Bould has a big job to do there.

The mid field is our strong suit and Arteta, JW (when he is fit), Song and Rosicky can do well.

    We can be optomistic about next season providing;

    1. We keep RVP.

    2. We improve defensively.

    3. We sign M'Villa and Vertongen or Hazard

  11. Stand out - RVP, by a long way
Biggest surprise - Rosicky. Seemed back to his best
Biggest breakthrough - OXO definitiely - at his age to be pushing for a first team place is amazing.
Most undeserving abuse - Jenkinson after the Utd game
Biggest disappointment - Ramsey, dreadful all season
Looking forward to next season - Wilshere, POD, Campbell

Favourite game - 5-2 no doubt, the fact Spurs were 2-0 up and then got mashed.... so perfect
Favourite goal - Arteta vs City
Favourite moment - Arsenal players celebrating after the 5-3 win over Chelsea
Lowest ebb - 4-0 Milan because we totally lay down

    High - beating Spurs 5-2.
    Low - losing 8-2 to Man U

Glad this season is over to be honest, banished from memory. Hopeful we buy wisely in the transfer market and sell accordingly, I don't ever want to be fuming before a season has even started ever again <ok>

Stand-out- RVP - first fully injury free season, showed his full potential
Biggest surprise - Rosicky - I thought he was finished to be honest
Biggest breakthrough - Oxo and Coquelin
Most undeserving abuse - Where to start? Theo, made a massive contribution this season. Song, the guy was a rock in our MF, Ramsey, worked hard all season, carried the weight of the midfield in the absence of Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere and Diaby. Some of the abuse he got was shameful.
Biggest disappointment - The attitude from some of our fans
Favourite game - NLD demolition job
Favourite goal - RVP at Anfield, big goal right at the end, massive 3pts
Favourite moment - Jumping on SJW19 at Emirates after Theo banged in the 5th in the NLD
Lowest ebb - Losing at home to Wigan when we really needed to win
Things I'm looking forward to next season:
Seeing Wilshere back, The Pod, hoping to see RVP still wearing our shirt. Less whining from the fans (the last one is a wish)

    Season highs:
    RVP
Home vs Milan and Spuds and Man City (we were unlucky at their place as well) and Newcastle
    Away vs Chelsea, Norwich,
    Oxo
    Song
    Arteta
    Walcott in small bursts
Finishing above Spuds.....yet again - and qualifying properly for the Champions league (15 consecutive seasons)
    Harry not getting England job
The fact that Manchester United are trophyless

    Season lows:
Away at ManU, Blackburn, Fulham, QPR, Swansea, Milan
Some on this site trying to turn Ramsey into this seasons Denilson - there was too much crossing the line between constructive criticism and personal abuse. It happens too much and is not necessary.
At times the team seemed without the level of desire required.
The press' happy attacks on all about Arsenal in the early part of the season and no acknowledgement of the improvments.
Throwing away 10 out offifteen points at the end of the season
The reluctatnt acceptance that Citeh have now bought domination of the league.

Enjoy the summer, I think it will be a long one

    Stand-out for me - RVP
Biggest surprise - Probably Arteta, but Koscielny deserves a mention, he's been excellent this season
Biggest breakthrough - Alex Chamberlain, gave Theo the kick up the backside he needed.
Most undeserving abuse - No one, anyone abused typically deserved it.
Biggest disappointment - Theo, at times looked a shadow of the player he was last season.
Things I'm most looking forward to next season - Beating spurs at White Hart Lane <laugh>

Favourite game: 5-2 against Spurs, we showed them who was boss.
Favourite goal: Henry vs Leeds, what a way to re-establish yourself at Arsenal.
Favourite moment: Securing 3rd after a very difficult season.
Lowest ebb: Old Trafford. Not saying any more.

Stand-out for me - RVP. (special mention to Arteta)
Biggest positive surprise - Arteta (special mention to Rosicky)
Biggest negative surprise - Vermaelen. He was actually behind some major defensive blunders when you'd expect him to add stability to our back 4. Has regressed.
    Biggest breakthrough - Oxo
    Most undeserving abuse - Song
Biggest disappointment - Ramsey. He has regressed this year, no matter optimistic you are about him. He has been a liability in every game he's been a part of.
Things I'm most looking forward to next season - Keeping RVP, adding some depth with new signings, and seeing how we can keep up with a solid start to the season.

    Favourite game: 5 - 2 vs Spurs
Favourite goal: RVP volley (Song assist)
Favourite moment: End of the last game, getting 3rd
    Lowest ebb: 2-8

Stand-out- RVP. we better keep him!!
Biggest surprise - Arteta and Gibbs.
Biggest breakthrough - Oxo, particularly against Milan
Most undeserving abuse - Song and Theo have both had good seasons.
Biggest disappointment - Koscielney. Played more games than any other defender, in a defence that has concede 49 league goals.
The good things he does on the ball mask his erratic positioning. I find watching him highly stressful. Vermaelen has had a bad season too.
Favourite game - Chelsea 5-3 and Spuds 5-2 both classics
Favourite goal - RVP vs Everton. amazing technique.
Favourite moment - The comeback against Tottenham.
Lowest ebb - United. But I have to say our bad performaces have been our worst in Wengers reign.

Things I'm looking forward to next season: Podolski's left foot.

Knowing our coaching, i wouldn't be suprised if Wenger "encourages" Podolski to become right footed.
