As the season has now come to a close and POTY has been decided, I thought we could maybe rate the players (and CP's) overall season in a similar fashion to what we do after the matches:

Hamer - 7.5. Had a rocky blip in Feb/march (I believe) and was subsoquently dropped for a few games. But other than that he had a solid season and was a match winner on several ocasions. Still don't like his constant moaning though.
Button - 6. Was ok, but Hamer does look the better of the two. Came in to the side at a tough time so maybe a bit premature to judge him fully.
Solly - 8.5. Solid and consistent without having to be spectacular. Can't think of a game where he was constantly outclassed by a player.
Wilson - 6.5. He had that run of 6 games where he was immense, but then his form suffered quite dramatically. Still a player we can rely on at this level.
Morro - 7. Made the odd error, but again was pretty solid.
Cort - 7. Very strong start to the season with injury ruining the latter part.
Dervite - 7. Filled in at midfield at the start and despite possesing limited qualitites for that position he did ok. Looked capable at the back in the last 8 games and should be retained. The highlight being his goal against Leeds.
Wiggins - 7. Maybe being a bit stingy with his mark, but he missed too much of the season through his foot injury. The old Wiggins was evident in the run in and really hope we can keep him fit next season.
Evina - 6. Going forward his pace caused problems, but I thought he was always too shaky in defence and often gave his opposite number too much time on the ball.
Pritchard - 7. You can't argue with his assist record this season, he obviously has a place in the side. Still think he's limited on the ball, but much happier with him on the right than in the middle as he can't ball chase as much. Impressive.
Green/Wagstaff - 5.5. Both were restricted in terms of game time, but despite showing glimpses of quality they don't look up to this level.
Stephens - 6. My favourite player, but I can't argue the fact he went missing in too many games. Looked better when he was given a couple games in an advanced roll, but his effort was never matched by a dominating display.
Jacko - 9. Think he won us several games with his leadership and unwillingness to give up. Cardiff at home was a game he decided to take by the scruff of the neck and drag us back. Also disproved the early critics. My POTY
Kerkar - 5.5. Got a decent returns in terms of assists for games played, and he does have very good close ball control but I really think that stint at LB took any wind that he did have out of his sail. Pace the obvious concern too.
Harriott - 7. He was a breath of fresh air when bought in to a side looking short of ideas and confidence. His enthusiasm seemed to light a fire under the players around him and this extended run will do him a world of good for next season
Fuller - 7. Lacked match fitness at the start, but still displayed the qualities that made him a feared Premiership striker. He and Yann built a strong partnership towards the end and I'm personally gutted he's leaving.
Obika - 7. Purely for the match winning goals. It's what he's there for.
Kermo - 8.5. If he was a cult hero last season, he's fast going on to being a club legend. It's a shame we resorted to hoofing it to him for long parts of the season as we really need to get him some service - and in the box. Brilliant campaign.
Haynes - 7.5. Maybe a bit generous consdiering his game time, but he scored some absolute crackers and looked like our best player when fit. If we could keep him fit then he will easily score 10-15 in this league.
BWP - 6. I thought he looked a better all round player than he did in League One, but just couldn't get a break in front of goal. The service at that point was poor, but that disalowed goal against Palace seemed to sum his frustrating season up.

Powell - 8.5. We can't deny at points during the winter he was struggling with team selection and substitutions, but like any top manager he was learning from his mistakes. Top guide us to 3 points off the play offs on our return to the Championship was a massive achievement and credit has to go to him and his staff. Hopefully we can back him with a few key signings and he can work his magic again next season.

Well said, can't really disagree with any of that.

No mention of Andy Hughes though? I know he only played a small part, but it was key in our end-of-season surge.

I wasn't going to include loan players, but as I was writing this I got a little caught up and accidently put Obika in.

Manu - 6. Hustle and bustle with no impact.
Hulse - 6.5. Created problems for defenders and grabbed a few goals. Extra half point for walking out on Millwall.

I wouldn't argue with most of that but I'd give Evina a 7, because he did seem to be improving the more games he played, and was , IMO unfortunate to be dropped. If Wiggins was sold I'd be quite happy with Evina at LB. Wilson's form dropped alarmingly so he only gets a 5.5 I'm afraid. 9 out of 10 for Nathan Jones, Paul Hart, Mick Avory and everyone at the Academy. A special commendation too for young Archie Edwardes for turning down Manure.

I agree with everything, but especially the academy. Nice to have bright youngsters on the fringe.
