Or is it? the gap between us and sixth is now nine points with nine games remaining, that is possible to pull back, but we do not seem good enough to, I feel this season has gotten away from us and it my attentions are now on the FA Cup and then next season. The past two games, and indeed the entire season have been similar to last season, when we played Nottingham Forest and Reading Away, before we was saying this will prove if we are good enough to get play offs, then we lost 3-2 and 3-1 repectively and then dismissed ourselves, now though we are in a better position as there are more games remaining, but realistically we aren't going to get playoffs this year, but hope i'm proven wrong.
Unless we go on a 9 game unbeaten streak i cant see us anywhere near the playoffs, too many teams between us and 6th. With the games we have left, i hope we finish higher, but dont think it will be top 6, top 10 maybe, im gunna say between 8th and 10th. But you never know, maybe we will need 3 points to move into the playoffs by the time we play WHU, and hopefully, they will have already been promoted before we play them ... but then we'd lose to Leeds who would leapfrog us and take 6th.
Season is over - only thing we can hope for is that we don't completely embarrass ourselves in the remaining games and end up closer to the bottom rather then the top.
I have been following the city for 40+ seasons so I am used to disappiontments but this season has been a dreadful let down. What a shambles!
