Three points on Monday night and Town will go seventh and just three points off the automatics, no points on Monday night and town will stay meh. This is one of those defining moments when territory is marked out. We look capable, let's hope we can create some momentum to give the Budgies a run for their money this season.
Agree absolutely! Far too early to be putting too much on games! A win would be fantastic but if we lose not too much damage done at this early stage. We are currently on 1.57 points per game which is bang on play off form!
In fairness I can see where Yorkie is coming from in terms of putting down markers but this game will not define our season.
I agree with SD. Very rarely do you get a make or break game in the league and never absolutely never this early in the season. Do I want us to win .....bloody right ...will I write off our season if we don't .....nope.
Yorkie talks bollux, no change there, but give the budgies a run for their money? I'd honestly love that. The two of us battling in the top six would be a great thing in my opinion.
Wigan away is the sort of game in recent seasons we might as well have sent them the points in the post and saved everyone the bother and the trauma. If we can prove ourselves capable (at effing last) at getting three points somewhere like that it might be fair to describe it a defining moment of kind.
Tough game this for sure. My judgement will be reserved until the 11 game mark but we certainly feel capable this season. Quietly optimistic, think we have a decent side this time around.
Definately not season defining. But a hard place to go. I bloody hate Wigan and want us to go there and turn them over. I think it'll be a bit of a marker for us. But I'm optimistic. We've got a more than useful team being put together and IMO we're close to giving everyone a run for their money.
Agree Jonah, not as black & white as 'season defining' but certainly a great opportunity to show our pedigree in the so called 'big games' Something we haven't excelled in is getting some real momentum with consecutive wins.. to get 3+ straight wins would be a great platform to build from rather than a few wins and a smattering of draws..
